Internet Marketer Launches Indiegogo Campaign to Raise Money to Help Veterans Source: Jinger Jarrett Dated: Dec. 26, 2013
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Internet Marketer and U.S. Army veteran Jinger Jarrett launched her Indiegogo campaign. She is raising money to create a social network site for those who served their respective countries to connect and get the personal and financial help they need. This is not just another social network or club for veterans though. The purpose is to unite veterans worldwide to help address the issues veterans face. Jarrett plans to offer plenty of help and support too. It includes business training, a marketplace for veterans to sell their products, social groups and forums, free classified ads, photo and video posting and many of the other features offered on top social sites like Facebook. Members also have the opportunity to receive recognition. For a small yearly fee, members will receive membership cards with their personal numbers and the logo of the military service they served in. Other logos will be included for those who want a different type of recognition, like Cold War Veterans. "Many throughout the world who have served their countries don't receive recognition for that service. They also don't receive the benefits that those designated as "veteran" receive. I want to change that by creating a one stop resource to connect those who served. Our biggest problem is that many, including our families, just don't understand our unique problems. We can help each other because we understand our issues," Jarrett said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzjEX0-jTDA Once Jarrett raises the funds for her campaign, she will build the social network. Most of the funding will cover getting the word out to those who served and get them to join. Those who served their countries honorably will have a place to gather and connect in a safe and secure environment to get help with issues as complex as PTSD or as simple as getting a bill paid. "No one who has served his country in its armed forces deserves to go hungry, homeless or unloved," she said. Her campaign runs for 31 days and started on Christmas day.
