Key Elements Extracted From Ancient Paintings

As most theaters have been demolished and disappeared, it is difficult for us to imagine what the traditional opera building space is like through real buildings. From the drama scenes of ancient paintings, according to the interaction between audiences and performers and the space atmosphere, the space extracts are divided into three types. The first is “looking at each other”, in which the audience is divided into several areas, and certain contacts and exchanges can be generated between each area and performers. The second is “overlooking”, where the audience watches from a height or upstairs, while retaining a certain space of their own.
