This studio is to design buildings that are adaptable. We developing the building’s form and surfaces so that the building has value lasting well beyond its original use. Its form is highly specific in its figuration, size, and level of articulation so that it can house future, unanticipated programs.
adaptability, and how buildings can accommodate structural changes in supply and demand. The building prototypes will take into account their adaptations to specific, anticipated trends within the next 20-30 years (which we’ll call situated adaptability), as well as possess an additional adaptive capacity in excess of predictable In this project, we produce dynamic events, in order for the building to maintain its value over a 100-year models for how a building form can respond over a long lifespan lifespan, well beyond the limits of our projections. to various material, technological, and use cycles. We considered the economic implications of

Since Brooklyn Navy Yard has a large amount of space but dispersedly and unorganized, and also full of history. We invited NYC people coming into this special space. We provide a new convention centre here to attract more people here join activites. It will be considered as a trade off, using space and identity to earn people, program to re activated the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The new Brooklyn Navy Yard is designed in to a half-cirle. Jinglong Yang

All new program will engage with the old history building which became a new space. The BNY itself became a complex providing different kinds of related activites. In different section, there will be different space characterisics. But all these spaces are collaborating and becoming the new city.

Highway is playing a very important role in the transportaion system in a modern city. However, sometimes highway also has some negative effects. In this case, the 100 meter wide highway is blocking the context connection in this area. Pedestrain can only crossing the road by the equa-distance pattern distributed footbridges which are ignoring the context and inefficient. We try to add new function to the footbridge and make the space above high way become vigorous. Some algorithmic modeling ways are used to rebuild the footbridge system in order to test out a better way.
