Project Statement Due to urban expansion and rapid development, pollution problems in Jianyang County and surrounding areas are prominent. Data suggests that water pollution in Tuo River increased dramatically. In order to preserve ecology and water environment, this design aims to improve local habitat, restore biodiversity, and reduce contaminents in water and soil. It also focus on developing natural waterfront for visitors to conduct variety of outdoor activities.

Project Vision After the project is completed, it can alleviate the pollution aftermath to the natural environment caused by urban development and expansion, restore natural habitat, and protect biodiversity. At the same time, it can increase hydrophilic activity space and public spaces to meet the desire of local residents. Meanwhile, some multi-functional spaces and resting platforms are organized for people to use, bringing people a place where ecological restoration and activity space coexist.

Project Statement Tianfu Square is located at the heart of Chengdu. It serves as a landmark and major transportation hub. Many significant issues of this site have been revealed by visitors feedback, such as low vegetation canopy coverage, complex underground circulation, and lack of connection with suroundings. This design aims to create an ecologically livable urban green space in urban centre, fulfill the demand of commuters and tourists, and connect surrounding buildings with barrier-free access.

A circulation is formed by connecting the surrounding functional areas, and complex circulations are summarized, classified and integrated to form two types of circulations, fast and slow. The fast circulations are connected to the subway exits and surrounding plots through sky bridges, and the slow circulations satisfy tourists through the ground road network. Demand for sightseeing.

Project Statement In recent years, the number of college students has increased dramatically, which has led to various problems that deeply influenced college students’ schedules, such as lack of study space and poor equipment. I hope to build a series of campus installations to meet the needs of college students. They can be combined in variety of methods for different purposes. Creating spaces for reading, study, discussion, and exhibition for students to make their campus life more convenient.

I really want a study place for myself.
The dormitory is noisy and crowded.
We need a space where we can discuss.
We exercise in the playground, at the same time, we can also read and study in the corner of the playground, which is a small world for one person.
I need a reading space where I can use mobiles apps.

04 Untold Tale Behind Chernobyl Chernobyl Nuclear Accident Memorial Location: Ukraine, Pripyat, Chernobyl Size: 39,040m2 Type: memorial landscape & architecture design / individual work Time: 2018.11-2019.01 Tutor: Li GUO Contact: gardengl@126.com
Project Statement Chernobyl nuclear accident is one of the greatest disasters in human history. The estimated number of deceased liquidator is 6000, however, the official announced casualty number from Soviet Union Government remains at 31. In this project, I decide to focus on the men and women who bravely involved in damage control yet still remain unknown by the public. This memorial is designed to remind the public of this disaster, but more importantly the liquidators who sacrificed their lives in it.

The narratives of this memorial are composed by five parts, follwing the progress of the Chernobyl accident and aftermath, allows visitors to experience all the scenario.
Five spaces with distinctive spatial qualities are designed based on the narrative of Chernobyl disaster. The form of spaces are generated from the keywords which represent different phases of the disaster as the situation escalating.

The crisisridden experience brings the viewer into the situation and emotional experience.
Paths of Mist With the gradual unfolding of the storyline, subspaces and multiple paths are formed in the space in an expanding and radial shape. Different subspaces are involved in the event either actively or passively, walking through different spaces and paths.
