eCPD Programme Enhancing Learning The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) has commissioned the eCPD Programme to support whole organisational approaches to harnessing technology for learning. The programme, part of the Teaching and Learning Programme, will develop materials, tools and online support to enable practitioners to make effective use of technology to support and enhance learning, any time, any place. Providers across the Further Education (FE) system have been asked to nominate an influential member of staff to lead whole organisational approaches to improve teaching and learning, using technology. These staff will be called Professional Development Advisers (PDAs) and they will receive free training to cascade the programme in-house, so that everyone involved in supporting learners can access appropriate training to suit their needs and circumstances. BDP Learning has been commissioned to develop the eCPD Programme with the sector for the sector. The programme will run alongside the current successful E-Guides programme delivered by NIACE and builds on the work of e-learning and e-leadership programmes. It will be linked to the new Ofsted requirements and the Institute for Learning’s 30 hour or pro-rata CPD requirements.
Nominating a PDA You are asked to nominate a PDA with a successful track record of making effective use of technology to champion the use of e-learning teaching approaches across your organisation. PDAs will be supported by online resources, communities of practice and virtual networks, and there will be funding to support exemplary work and showcase effective practice. Don’t miss this opportunity! For further information and to download the nomination form, visit www.bdplearning.com/ecpd.
