When you call Sears Home Services to schedule a carpet cleaning appointment, here is what you can expect:
Pre-Visit
Sears customer service representative will call the day before your appointment date to confirm the carpet cleaning technician's arrival time. On the day of the appointment, Sears will call again to give advance notice that we are on our way and tell you what time we will arrive.
The homeowner should remove any breakable items (such as pictures or crystal) that are on the furniture they want moved - an example would be moving a delicate lamp that is sitting on an end table. Sears carpet cleaning technicians are happy to move any furniture that can be safely moved. If there is a China Cabinet, Credenza or other large item moved, they would have to be empty prior to the carpet cleaning crew's arrival. Any small items (such as toys, newspapers & shoes) sitting on the carpeted area that is to be cleaned need to be picked up. Vacuuming of the area is recommended prior to carpet cleaning if there is a lot of debris.
During the Visit
When our professionally trained, background checked, and insured carpet cleaning
technicians arrive, we will pre-inspect the areas to be cleaned identifying any special spots or heavily soiled areas and note any furniture that cannot be moved.
Next, we pre-treat any areas of concern to ensure the most thorough carpet cleaning. Then the Sears Two Step Deep Clean process goes to work to get the carpet as clean as it can be. Step #1 is a special heated carpet cleaning solution that is sprayed deep into the carpet fibers to loosen embedded dirt. This is followed by Step #2, which is a high powered extraction and pH-balancing fiber rinse to remove the dirt & carpet cleaning solution - leaving the carpet clean and soft to the touch.
After the carpet cleaning the Sears technician can apply a carpet protector or one of our carpet deodorizers at the customer's request. Once the carpet cleaning service has been completed and any protector or deodorizer applied; we return all furniture to its original location, placing protective pads under the legs or edges.
At the end of each carpet cleaning service we thoroughly conduct a post inspection of the work that has been done with the customer. If there is something that needs needs cleaned again, we will re-clean it to the Furniture Removals Gauteng customer's satisfaction. Complete customer satisfaction is our top priority.
After the Visit
Depending upon the carpet type and material as well as the humidity in the air, it could take 12 to 24 hours for the carpet to become completely dry, but you can walk on it right after cleaning if necessary, however please avoid wearing street shoes which could re-soil the carpet. Turning on your air conditioning or running fans in any of the rooms that were cleaned can speed the drying time. Remove any protective pads under the furniture when the carpet is completely dry.
