Introduction
1.1 A b o u t T h i s D o c u m e n t This document identifies the format and response differences Sabre® Air Pricing version 2 (V2) users will experience when performing historical pricing functionality after Pricing V2 implements historical pricing functionality. The release of the new Historical functionality in Pricing V2 will occur on September 16, 2008. 1.2 I n t e r a c t a n d S a b r e S o n i c w e b u s e r s This enhancement has no changes for Interact and SabreSonic® Res users. The changes for the point of sale tools are all in the background and do not change screen or entry formats. 1.3 D a t a R e t e n t i o n – P r i c i n g V 2 Pricing V2 maintains and supports Historical Pricing, Fare Display, and Rule Text display for two years, or 24 months, or 732 days (increasing from the prior 13 months of data on the legacy system). Note
The start date for historical data retention was October 18, 2006 and continues to accrue daily up to the maximum of 732 days. Therefore, the actual number of days of available in historical data at the time of implementation depends on the implementation date.

The following section describes the processing changes for the Historical Tax Display entry. 9.2 N e w P r o c e s s i n g C h a n g e s As indicated, all Historical Tax Display entries input in Pricing V2 will be routed to the legacy system until July 21, 2008. Fare Display Entry Changes
10.1 I n t r o d u c t i o n This chapter contains information about the changes to the Fare Display entry in Pricing V2. This chapter contains the following sections: •
Fare Display Changes (see “Fare Display Changes,” on this page).
•
Rule Validation and Override Entries (see “Rule Validation and Override Entries,” on this page).
•
Fare Inclusion Codes (see “Fare Inclusion Codes," page 10-2).
•
Fare Display Secondary and Other Qualifiers (see “Fare Display Secondary and Other Qualifiers," page 10-3).
10.2 F a r e D i s p l a y C h a n g e s The primary action code for all current and historical Sabre Fare Display entries is FQ. Pricing V2 eliminates the primary action codes FA, FS, and FD. The functionality behind these entries remains. When you enter the action codes FA, FS, and FD in native Sabre formats, not online, the system will return an error response as follows: “FARE DISPLAY MUST BEGIN WITH FQ - SEE FQHELP” 10.3 R u l e V a l i d a t i o n a n d O v e r r i d e E n t r i e s For all historical displays, validation occurs for Travel Effective and Travel Discontinue dates (first and last day travel may commence). This cannot be overridden. The other fare display validations are Seasons, Advance Purchase, Blackouts, and Minimum / Maximum stay (validated only when a return date is entered). You can turn on or off these validations with the new qualifiers. The Sabre default will be to validate fares unless otherwise instructed in the entry. Historical Fare Display Validation

10.4 F a r e I n c l u s i o n C o d e s The term Fare Inclusion Code was introduced with the release of Pricing V2. It replaces the term Fare Type used in the legacy system because it represents another element of the ATPCO automated rules product. Both names represent the same functionality. The Fare Type and Fare Inclusion Code instruct Sabre fare display processing to include groups of fares with specified characteristics, such as Military, Promotional, or Excursion fares.
