MD Anderson Cancer Center South Campus Research Building No. 4 Houston, Texas Pathways towards Cancer Cure The new South Campus Research Building No 4 is a 210,000 GSF project that is at the forefront of Translational Medicine, oering less invasive and more attractive therapeutic options for cancer patients. Design and construction of this facility was complicated by the placement of the attatchment of the facility to the Center for Advanced Biomedical Imaging Research (CABIR) also under concurrent construction and a tunnel connection to the University of Texas Vivarium facility accross the street. Researchers work alongside clinicians to carefully monitor and adjust treatments to minimize discomfort for the cancer patient and to eectively halt the progression of disease.

VIEWS

CJ’s Integrated Research & Development Center is located in Gwanggyo New City, approximately 30 Km. south of Seoul. The underlying premise for the CJ Integrated Research & Development Center is rooted in understanding the work-life community;

ACCESS

where the community and its relationship to the individual, institution and the city is paramount; where the collective is stronger than the single entity; and where the space created is more meaningful than an object or surface.

MASS

The new CJ headquarters facility is derived from the architectural interpretation of CJ’s vision. Encapsulating diverse components that merges the best practices with the newest trends and technologies into a singular expression captures a physical understanding of the “Only One”.
