on March 1st, 2012, CTI Co-founders Karen & Henry Kimsey-House visited Calgary for the first time to introduce the New Co-Active Model. An energetic and jam-packed room of new and veteran coaches joined Karen and Henry as they informed and inspired all in attendance with their own Co-Active dance in delivering the evolution of the New Model. Among many things, the participants left understanding how to Evoke Transformation, Dance in THIS moment and how to use the Captain & Crew. How to attract clients and fill your practice by Jackie McKay, CPCC

Are you deeply inspired to get out there and help people with your coaching skills? Do you feel a bit confused with where to start in attracting clients to your coaching practice? It’s kinda tricky dealing with the deep yearning to be doing something you love and to feel so held back at the same time. Actually some days it can really stink. This whole movement of “follow your passion” has come but no one taught you the part about doing what you love and making enough money so that you can pay your bills. Woops!

Enter heart beating overwhelm. How is it that some people are able to enjoy the deep satisfaction of a full coaching practice while others are scrambling to find one or two new clients? What’s the secret sauce to this whole thing?

Let’s expose those “secret” things. Unfortunately our deep passion for our work isn’t enough. But not to worry. Here are top 10 tips to help you attract more clients and fill your passion-based practice. 1. Get clear on your niche 2. Create a very specific marketing message about who you help and their struggles 3. Offer a free valuable gift from your website that will on some level help to change their life 4. Give your prospects high quality articles that will build a “trusted” advisor feel for you 5. Create a business card that includes your photo and a strong call to action to sign up for your free gift on your website 6. Create regular enriching blog posts that addresses your client’s biggest needs 7. Offer free high content telecasts regularly 8. Offer regular, on-going low fee workshops and talks

9. Send out regular e-zines – like mine! (sign up at www.HealersWhoProsper.com…shameless plug!) 10. Create a Facebook fan page and offer high consistent, quality posts and tips

Your Turn. Pick one or two ideas from the list on the right hand side of the page. Once you have one or two of those in place consider adding a third. In no time you’ll have your own client attraction, relationship building plan in place and you’ll start to see a steady stream of clients too.

Ready to attract your own steady stream of clients? The Soul-Inspired Prosperous Practice Coaching programs can show you exactly how you can fill your practice and attract new clients to your business each month – in no time. And, you CAN do this in a “step-by- step” format, without being selly or icky, but just by being you. How would that make a difference in your life? I created this one-of-a-kind program to personally walk you through the same steps I used (and continue to use daily) to attract my own ideal clients to my current coaching practice each month. Learning the Levels 3 months ago I was stuck with no idea of where my life was headed. I liken it to sitting on a log in a beautiful forest. I stopped on this log 6 years ago, not really sure where the path that lead me there continued on. I figured the path would be revealed when it was time but the years passed and still I remained. There were times when I got up and visited a small meadow or racing stream but always I returned to the log. And every time I returned I saw the place where I sat became worn away, making the log a little more welcoming yet never quite comfortable. A voice on the breeze always called me to something more, threatened to push the leaves and branches away that seem to hide the path but I was never sure until now. The breeze became a strong wind that has made it undeniably clear where my journey shall continue. My log became a soft seat among 23 soon to be traveling companions on the journey of following our calling. We looked upon our leaders for the weekend, two brilliant sages, warm open

souls, ready to bestow the gift of the CoActive model upon us gathered there. By day three, with our Level III listening tuned in, we knew that a bond had been created to carry us through, for those of us who had chosen to continue. I left knowing that I was changed, my calling was found. That night I shared with my friends and family all that happened. They were unanimous in rejoicing in the new light they saw alive in me. The next morning I awoke with new energy long before my alarm was set to go off and I was sending out emails to my f ellow ambassadors of world transformation; creating our Facebook group where we could share ideas, encouragements, struggles; setting up our coaching circle to make sure that we all continue not just our practice but also our connection with one another and I contacted CTI’s Calgary Ambassador Jayson Krause to let him know that I was all in for whatever he needed to establish CTI’s presence in Calgary. Never, in these 6 years have I been so assured of my future, of my gifts and my calling and though there are questions and fears, the spark that was deep within has burst into a flame and that light shall guide me as I continue to study and grow as a CTI Life Coach.

May 4-6th or September 14-16th FUNDAMENTALS Let’s share the gift of Co-Active work and send a colleague, friend or family member to Fundamentals. Did I mention we can give them $200.00 off the regular cost?

Leader’s Ledge

You are invited to join in Calgary’s Shintaido in the Park. A unique opportunity to practice the Shintaido ritual with other tribe members to deepen our connection with each other, expand our collective co-active consciousness and strengthen our connection with Leadership.

Welcome! Hello there, and Welcome to the Leader’s Ledge. This page of the CoActive Calgary Newsletter is directed to any and all of the members of the CTI Leadership community in the Calgary and surrounding area. So that actually includes almost anyone and everyone who has had any level of connection with CTI If any one of the following options applies to YOU, then this part of the Newsletter is for YOU! Graduate of the CTI Leadership Program. Currently enrolled in a CTI Leadership Program. Registered for CTI Leadership but not started yet. Seriously considering exploring CTI Leadership. Attended one or more CTI Core Curriculum Courses and wonder what it takes to be a front-of-theroom leader.

Leadership Mentoring Many Leadership Tribe members have taken advantage of the CoActive Leadership Mentor Program. Among the many benefits of having a Leadership Mentor is the opportunity to explore some of the experiences, the learning and the meaning of the leadership journey, with someone who has followed the path and has a perspective that takes them far beyond the dialogue and exchange with contemporar y tribe members, pod members, friends and relatives. I was fortunate to discover the program the week after I completed R1, and I signed up with a Mentor almost immediately. There’s absolutely no question that my ongoing relationship with my Mentor played a huge part in the outcome of the Leadership Program for me.

A Gathering of the Tribes with Shintaido in the Park

Who?

All CTI Leadership Tribe Members are welcome.

What?

More recently, I have had t he opportunity to be a Mentor to two members of the Ash Tribe. This time, my experience as a Mentor has continued my own learning and personal development in ways that I could not have imagined. If I am helping my mentees have a greater experience them selves, the growth and understanding that I get from spending time with them is every bit as delightful and satisfying! If you are currently in a tribe and do not have a Mentor, I encourage you to connect with the Mentor Program and see if it has value for you. There’s a link at the bottom of this page. If you have a problem with it, log on to the Co-Active Network and look for it under “Niche Communities”

Special Leadership Event Lisa Elliott has been inspired to create (or should that be ‘re-create’?) the morning ritual that so many of us miss from our Leadership Retreats. Check out the sidebar and let Lisa know if you want to be a part of “Shintaido in the Park”. At t his point, t his event is for Leadership Graduates and current Tribe Members. Hope to see you there, April 29th!

*Shintaido Ritual *20 minutes of quiet contemplation in nature *20 minutes of journaling followed by... *connection time at local coffee shop
