Please visit gov.uk for the revised DfE guidance including the 5 key indicators across which schools should demonstrate an improvement. This document will help you to review your provision and to report your spend. DfE encourages schools to use this template as an effective way of meeting the reporting requirements of the Primary PE and Sport Premium. We recommend you start by reflecting on the impact of current provision and reviewing the previous spend. Under the Ofsted Schools Inspection Framework, inspectors will assess how effectively leaders use the Primary PE and Sport Premium and measure its impact on outcomes for pupils, and how effectively governors hold them to account for this. Schools are required to publish details of how they spend this funding as well as on the impact it has on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment by the end of the summer term or by 31 July 2019 at the latest. We recommend regularly updating the table and publishing it on your website throughout the year, as evidence of your ongoing review into how you are using the money to secure maximum, sustainable impact. Key achievements to date:

Areas for further improvement and baseline evidence of need:

- School site/sports facilities usable all year round. - Great leadership and sports ambassador opportunities. Fantastic role models for younger children encouraging active, healthy lifestyles. - A successful start to the year of competitive sport with a range and mixture of children from years 5 and 6 as well as years 3 and 4 representing the school, building a strong foundation for next year’s competitive sport. Our pupils take pride in representing the school and enjoy extra-curricular sporting / active clubs - Staff CPD opportunities - Increased variety of sports and activities available for children of all ages to try and continue outside of school. (The Covid 19 situation has however limited the number of competitions and opportunities available to the children and has also meant that the use of both outdoor and indoor sports facilities has had to be adapted. This takes considerable extra planning for all staff; particularly the Sports Co-ordinator to guide all).

-Pupil led developments how can we make Sherborne Primary School Sports covid resistant. Sports Council to lead and gather pupil opinion & to use technology to support our ‘bubbles’ with PE development. This could include the use of video as a way to inform, lead and link PE development (& activity) across the school). IT to be targeted within this project. -Develop healthy active lifestyles by encouraging participation in break time activities at KS1 & KS2 - (Sports Council: if covid situation allows this) Midday Supervisors to be trained & encouraged to lead physical activities at lunchtimes. This will link to a ‘Scrap Store’ physical activity project which supports imaginative physical play / large heavy equipment to help build muscle strength. The project also actively encourages teamwork, cooperation and resilience. This links into our ‘Covid Catch-up Plan’ and is part of our SDP (School Development Plan) - Forest School - To support the active and physical development of our youngest pupils (data shows that our youngest pupils have been affected the most physically & academically by Covid-19 lockdowns etc.) This will help with gross and fine motor skills / cooperation / teamwork / resilience and is part of our wider SDP ‘Covid Catch-up Plan’ - PE during the Covid Pandemic - All staff to support increased PE & active (including extra-curricular clubs) during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This will include extra planning (time & resources) to ensure our activities and use of spaces / equipment is ‘Covid Safe’. Planning meetings to ensure these activities are delivered. Enabling use of equipment in a safe Covid way (which will mean extra equipment
