Dear Parents/Carers, Every new topic we will send home a letter like this one, informing you of activities that you can complete at home. Over the summer holidays it would be brilliant to carry on reading regularly with your child. If they complete any written activities then please feel free to bring them into school in September, we would love to see it! We hope you have a lovely Summer holiday. In September our topic is:

Roald Dahl Home learning activities: • Find out some facts about Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake • Read a Roald Dahl story and write a review • Draw a picture of one of his characters in the style of Quentin Blake • Write your own story • Go to the library and find a Roald Dahl book • Make a 3D model of one of Roald Dahl’s characters • Take part in the reading competition at Sherborne Library • Watch a Roald Dahl film and compare it to the book • Make one of Roald Dahl’s Revolting recipes We would like to see all children complete at least one of these activities. They can choose how to present their work. We look forward to seeing what you get up to!

Many thanks,

KS1 Team
