• The OVERALL picture is STILL VERY POSITIVE – 89% of returns ‘strongly agreed / agreed’ with all areas of the school – this is excluding Q 8 & 9 which sway the results, due to the wording of the question - 95.8% of returns ‘strongly agreed’ or ‘agreed’ that their child enjoys school

• Homework systems & arrangements – 25.2% wish for more homework & 21% wish for less homework! – Action – Host the homework expectations on each classes web-page. Raise homework as a Parental Forum Agenda issue • Understanding our Rewards / Sanctions / Discipline – Action - will distribute Rewards & Sanctions System at the START of Autumn Term 2016 & each academic year to make the behavioural expectations very clear • Continuing to improve information to parents about their child’s schooling Action – Offer termly ‘Open Morning’ for Parents to view their child in school + a ‘Mid-Year Report Card’ which indicates attainment, effort & brief comments in addition to our usual annual report + parental consultations • Hot Meals & Healthy Lunches – Action – Governors to actively explore replacing the ‘Chartwells Lunch Service’ with another provider • Key Stage 1 Sporting Clubs – Action – staff / outside agency to offer more sporting clubs for KS1 – Autumn Term 2016 The points above are the reoccurring comments from the parental responses as it would be very difficult to address every statement made. Comments – Positive Feedback – Part 2 • Enthusiastic teachers • New playground system are good (including the 8:45am opening time) • Love the new reward systems • Our daughter loves school • PTA – they work really hard • Children seem happy and are friendly towards each other • Learning is provided in a fun way • Parents evening has been informative and helpful • Overall, I have been very impressed with the school • We love the variety of learning opportunities our children have available to them • We are delighted with our daughters classroom teacher and the high level of differentiation they achieve • The teachers do their upmost to support children • There appears to be good leadership • There is a very strong sense of community • Teaching is of a high standard and we have been very impressed with the level of progress • Literacy is outstanding in our opinion • The staff as a whole seem genuinely happy to be working at school • Kindness and good manners are rewarded • Its nice to see parents involved within the school environment and children’s learning • Clear reward and sanction system • Sporting activities are very good and my child is proud to represent the school and wear his uniform • Good mix of children from all backgrounds • Children have a sense of pride in doing well
