/a1. Oc Tree Component: Effiel Tower task_model up NURB surface replica of a famous building, apply the OcTree component to the surfaces and create a 'BLOCKY' version of the chosen building For this exercise, I have replicated the Effiel Tower on Rhino into NURB surfaces. Image on the right shows the exploded diagram of the tower, which can be seen clearly that it’s simply produced out of 4 curved surfaces. Image on the right is what I have referenced into Grasshopper in order to procede with the Oc Tree component.

1. GEOMETRY \\ Set Geometry 2. Populate Geometry (Producing random scattered points on surfaces) 3. Number Slider: indicating how many points are generated. Input to Number

4. OcTree Component 5. Number sliders on both Square and Group, both contributes to the 'blockiness' of the geometry.

/a2. kangaroo physics plug-in task_model up columns, suspend a mesh between them.

This week, we were to research on a case study, the Vousoir Cloud by Iwamoto Scott, in order to attempt in producing sketches with a similar concept. Using the Kangaroo physics stimulation plug-in, meshes are able to suspend by anchoring points onto ‘columns’ (vertices that do not change position) and applying forces, using the plug-in, to create new forms, hence in this case, producing the curvy suspending effect. This type of computation method is very foreign to me, therefore I have made my attempt for this exercise in reproducing the Vousoir Cloud.
