When you arrive to campus

1. Please arrive to the JSU Student Center Terry L. Woodard Ballrooms A and B to receive clearance from the One Stop Shop indicating that you have completed registration and are cleared to move in.

2. Once you have been cleared you can pick up your key from your assigned residence hall and begin to move in.

3. Please bring copies of your immunization records just in case they are needed.

When You Arrive to your assignED residence hall

1. When checking in to your residence hall, unload your belongings directly onto the sidewalk area.

2. Parking in front of the halls is limited; stay with your belongings while someone else moves the vehicle to the lot reserved for move-in.

3. Report to the check-in area for your residence-hall assignment, which will be designated by signage.

4. You will be provided with a Room Condition Report to complete, an inventory of your new room’s condition, and your room key or access card.

EARLY MOVE-IN

If you have an extenuating circumstance and need to move in before your assigned move in date you can request an early move in by emailing housinginfo@jsums.edu. Please be reminded that we do not guarantee approval of these requests.

LATE MOVE-IN

You have 48 hours to check into your space before you are considered a no show. No show students will have their housing assignment canceled and will be assessed a cancellation fee. If you intend to arrive later than the designated move in dates please email your name, j-number, and requested move in date to housinginfo@jsums.edu prior to your no-show date. Please be reminded that we do not guarantee approval of these requests.
