CV

I am a product design student and I am in the 3rd year of my career. I consider myself a restless and / or curious person, wanting to innovate and discover new or different ways to communicate and make my world and imaginary understood. I am self-demanding and I always try to design with rationality and functionality but also with research. After all, aesthetic is something that is given if these two previous words fulfill their mission.

I move into a fine line between art and design. I focus on how the relationship between space and subject applied to these two worlds is articulated.

Llacuna, Llum Barcelona 2018. First Prize light installation The physical space that nowadays occupies our neighborhood was a humid, marshy area, typical of the areas near the outflows, as is the case of the Besòs. Toponyms like Llacuna or Joncar, remember this fact and these landscapes. That is why we commend its past, and we want Barcelona to feel the mysteries of the lagoon again and be able to enter until we perceive this “small sea” that was solidified between factories. Currently, between “co-works”, intelligent buildings and abandoned ships. We want to reinterpret this existing space in the past, to turn Caminal Passage into a lagoon, reinterpreting the elements of a marshy area in a sensory, sonorous and luminous way. The user is the protagonist of this immersive atmosphere generating a certain movement and dynamism in the own Lagoon, transforming the sensorial space.

“Ingnano Felice” Scenography and lighting, Òpera of Sarrià with Carles Berga

Giochino Rossini was an Italian composer of the early nineteenth century. He worked on the aesthetics of “bel canto” in Italian opera, where he ended up as one of the greatest references of opera worldwide. He was born in Pesaro (Papal States). His parents have also belonged to the musical world meaning that, since being a kid, he has beed introduced and inculcated into this. At the early age of six’s he started and formed part on the first band, and obviously won’t be the last one. Since that moment, he studied in numerous schools, such as the Liceo de Bologna. There, he had access in to a wide number of composers from the past who gave him lots references which are clearly reflected in his compositions.

He wrote his first opera at the age eighteen’s. Due to This successful piece he started being commissioned by Milan and Venice opera houses. There he learned the musical genre of “bufo”.He started performing at some of the best italian opera’s and his recognition lead him traveling around the world, visiting capital cities such as Londres or Paris where he passed away at the age of 76. All of his pieces are recognized because of it’s difficulty on vocals which were interpreted by singers with a wide tessitura. Focusing on assignment by “El Teatro de Sarrià” headed with the term “Amics de l’opera de Sarrià”, we were commissioned to do an interactive scenography structure capable to adapt in multiple surfaces.

This project was created and treated the design of the scenography, the illumination of the scenes, costume making and the atrezzo. The final disposition of it allows, in the same space and lighting, the representation of different scenes in different locations such as the interior of a mine, the seashore or a house indoor. This scenery, speaking in opera terms, is innovative because of its mobility and capability to adapt and metamorphose. This produced actors be more confortable while performing.

Bevel. La Casa Gomís La Casa Gomís’s relationship with its exterior is produced by means of different filters: the shades that project the parasol vaults, the empty spaces, or the interstitial spaces that are defined as negative of the different pavilions but in all of them common. Thus these outer spaces, also defined by the modular network, are about to build the house-territory. Each interior space has its counterpart expanded to the outside. The fact that it is a modular construction, does not imply rigidity in your organization, but the composition of the house is asymmetrical and remains in a dynamic balance. Facanes are not only enclosures as can be appreciated, but constitute a set of canvases that are inserted into the empty space of the vaults. They do not constitute an element that supports, nor forms rigid dihedral ones, but rather they transform into kaleidoscopic surfaces with the shadows that produce latticework, and the counterpoint you have give you the glass enclosures, and glistening and gliding on the ceramic tiles, but at At the same time a warm light that comes in contact with the set of elements. Our furniture is a sun, which meets the auxiliary table, stool and storage functions, both in magazines and books. In this sense, we talk about a design that is designed to be placed in one of the common areas of the house, such as the living room. The particularity that the product presents is that of not having any fixed place in the space where it is located. This is because the concept of this design is the versatility, which allows not only to be so in terms of the functionalities that the product presents, but also in its formal disposition. As we will see later, the furniture can be turned into its different formal plans to be able to respond to this criterium.

Bevel. La Casa GomĂs Working intensively on the morphology already defined as the piece would be, we wanted to generate a language within the furniture. Because the user understood the dual functionality, we wanted to use another material, in this case the skin, to mark what would be the seat part. In this sense, the particularity of this seat is that in its inner zone it presents foam, which indicates where the user sits. With regard to the outer zone, under the skin, the foam is inextricable; This causes that, along with milled edge, it is understood that it is an area to leave objects.

Torba candle The origin of all types of coal, and so the Torba, it’s the anaerobic decomposition of vegetal remains buried by sediments. At the most superficial layers where these are mostly affected by decomposition, lignin and cellulose which are part of vegetal weave, turn into torba. Torba is considerate the most actual coal. While time passes by, torba itself, through the sinking produced by physiochemical reactions suffered, will evolute and transform into lignite; always depending on geological facts. This lignite is the metaphorical representation of the earth..

Metamorfosis

Understanding earth as the counter-form of the deposited sediments, I have developed a candleholder made out of lignite. The amorphousness of the final piece is a reminiscence of the earth where I live and how evolutions itself. Referencing the piece directly with the land is obvious since we are in and idilic clima. Light is the religion of an entire society which moves because of the sun and makes everything it’s surrounded by, its life-being.

Experimental. Festisava comissioned workshop

Taking reference of “La noche de los jueves of Sociedad 0, we have created and developed a workshop based on experimentation and the connexion of found materials. The workshop took place during Festisava’s annual event. It lasted four hours where, students, picked unknown materials during the their way from home into university. The workshop also facilitated materials so everyone could work with good conditions and equality. The initial and base materials we used were corrugated cardboard but also plasterboard and leftovers provided by the graphic and prototyping workshops of the school. After the activity, all the resultant pieces where part of the exposition made at the student comunal room of Elisava.

FEEL YOUR FEET

Feel your feet is a different way and point of view for understanding footwear as we are used to. Based on the sensitivity and freshness that espadrilles aport us, we want to rethink this traditional footwear concept. Basing on the utility footwear we usually wear reduces sensitivity, we want to propose, develop and conceive a new way steping and but also human footprint. Feet is the organ in charge of regulating our body, our base. We have lots of nervous terminations

in ours hands but even-more in our feet and the fact of being into a sock at the into the shoe produces further reduction on the main sensitivity of it. From feel your feet, we want to change this paradigm, playing with materials that will potentially increase this sensitivity taking reference of reflexology as a pseudoscientific method for transmitting everything we step on. Earth surrounds us and if we understand where we come from, we can make big steps.

Vasari. Exhibit, Stand and Product

Roots.litography and Silkscreen-printed pieces and book

Roots / noun 1. the part of a plant which attaches it to the ground or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant via numerous branches and fibres. 2. the basic cause, source, or origin of something. Establish deeply and firmly.
