My Secret Green Cleaning Recipe

There are several cleaning solutions that you can make on your own and use them to clean your bathroom in an Nature-friendly manner. Tub and tile cleaner - mix 1 and 2/3 cup of baking soda with ½ cup of liquid soap and ½ cup of water. Add to the mixture two tablespoons of vinegar. Before you use the mixture shake it for a couple of minutes. When done, apply the solution on your bathtub and bathroom tiles with a soft cloth or sponge and rinse well when you are done.

Scouring powder - make your own scouring powder by combining one cup of baking soda, one cup of borax and one cup of kosher salt. Next, spread the powder over the area that you are cleaning and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then, wipe the area clean with a sponge and rinse well.

Toiler bowl cleaner - mix one cup of white vinegary with Âź cup of baking soda or borax and pour it in your toilet. Let the mixture sit for about 15 to 20 minutes before your scrub it. When you are done scrubbing, flush the toilet.

Glass cleaner - get a spray bottle and pour in it four cups of warm water. Add a cup of white vinegar and shake the bottle in order to mix the ingredients. Now spray the solution over the glass features of your bathroom such as the bathroom window, shower cabin door, mirror and etc. Finally, blot the glass features with a dry cloth or a piece of newspaper.

Drain cleaner - pour directly into the drain ½ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar. Let it fizz for 15 minutes and then run the hot water down the drain for 5 to 10 minutes. Home cleaners from Sydney recommend that if the drain is still emitting a nasty odor afterwards, you should pour once more the ingredients, but this time let them sit overnight. The next day, run the hot water once again for 5 to 10 minutes.
