Important groups of people often have a name they call their own. A batch of individuals from different backgrounds and talents came together with the purpose of gaining higher learning in Public Administration. Despite the differences among them, one thing is clear, they were all Boholanos, and that much certainty, they called themselves the

They faced many trials from making compromises because of schedule differences to a catastrophic earthquake, and even a loss of a dear friend. Nevertheless, they weathered through these trials and came triumphant with a bond like no other. Even after their journey as learners together has ended, the group has remained tight and have continued their journey as friends.
I have been waiting for this moment with that mixed feeling of happiness and sadness- happiness because finally you have reached your dream of finishing the MPA program and sadness because it means we won’t be seeing each other on a fairly regular basis. I am honored of the opportunity of being one of your professors and I feel blessed of the friendship that we have forged over the months that we were together. The lessons we learned from one another, the times we spent sharing and discussing issues and concepts, the laughter that punctuated our meetings are all worth remembering. As you add another feather to your cap, always be a man for others, always share what you have learned to those who are in need of new ideas, always walk your talk, remain intellectually humble and in your own little way affect the changes the you want the world to experience. Congratulations and thank you for the gift of friendship.
Sir Marlon
The Amazing Sandugo Masters! It is with great pride to congratulate the MPAers of Tagbilaran City for coming up with this marvelous Coffee Table book and also on the occasion of your graduation on October 27, 2013 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Lahug, Cebu City. You deserve every inch of this accolade and this coffee table book will become a memorabilia of your hard work and honing your skills to be good public servants. Your one year journey towards your MPA degree were not just mere classroom encounters with a variety of learning interactions but we go beyond the four corners of the classroom by visiting places, fun tours in Catigbian, dance practice for class assemblies, and the most unforgettable experience with your Oral Revalida amidst a 7.2 magnitude earthquake plus an overnight stay in the University Chapel. No other group can beat that, I know that those things will make you even prouder to receive your MPA diploma. That’s simply the Amazing Sandugo Masters! My warmest congratulations!
Sir Codilla
Greetings! It is my great pleasure to be part of your career development in pursuing your Masters Degree in Public Administration. I take great pride and honor for being with you for a year of learning together. As public administrators, the greatest challenge is to meet the demands of the general public to provide the best and untiring quality of service. Now is the best time to take on this great responsibility in your respecitve fields. May this be an opportune time to push ahead your endeavors. Congratulations to MPA - Bohol Sandugo Masters! Good luck!
Sir Jun
Everything begins with a party. The Sandugo Masters participated in their first Brgy. Codilla- named after their instructor - Acquaintance Party. A competition of song and dance numbers was done among the different classes that Professor Codilla handled. Melay Mendez, the group’s singing police woman, was the representative to the singing competition. While the rest performed- guys and ladies alike- in a modern dance. In the end, the Sandugo Masters came out triumphant bagging first place in the singing competition and second place in the dance competition. This made the night enjoyable and unforgettable. After the party at the Cebu Business Hotel, a ritual night out was made at Chicken and Beer at the Ayala IT Park.
NIGHT OUT @ Club Atmospheres There’s nothing like a night out with friends. The Sandugo Masters have a ritual of having a night out having fun and drinks after a long day of class or other activities. A night of singing and mingling with the SWU professors as well as other friends just to ease every day stress.
It’s the time of year again when the group joins the Brgy. Codilla Acquaintance Party. Like any party, another dance competition was joined by the group. Unlike the modern dance in the previous party, the group has taken a more traditional route and gave Muslim-Mindanao inspired dance. Amay Regis and Atty. Ted Lagang were featured as the princess and prince respectively. The group once again bagged second place for the year’s dance competition. The ritual afterparty was done at The Walk. The strangest thing happened as the group was unable to understand the Japanese menu and managed to order an expensive dish comprising only of cabbages with a vinegar and brown sugar sauce. Despite the strangeness of the dish, the group laughed it off and ate it as it was quite pricey.
The class abandoned the traditional setup of learning and took off the road in search of knowledge. It landed the class in the premier beach hotels and resorts, Bellevue and Astoria. Learning the actual ways of managing and marketing big hotels were one of the main goals of the trip. A highlight of the visit was a peek into most expensive rooms in Bellevue Hotel which costs Php 72,000.00 a night for two individuals. The group also managed to wrangle a taste of the famous pizza at Astoria Resort from the newly elected IBP Bohol President- Atty. Menedeus Thaddeus P. Bernido.
The class goes on the road again to look into the different management schemes of different places. The Catigbian D.A.T.E. Park as well as Sagbayan Peak were the main stops of the field trip. There were beautiful sights as well as wonderful experiences for the group. Another highlight of this trip was the visit to the Provincial Jail where the Sandugo Masters gave little packages of care to the prisoners serving their time. Also, the group was also entertained by a dashing jail warden by the name Edgardo del Rosario.
Another party once again for Brgy. Codilla. This time the group has made a daring performance with a purple bikini top and a short purple skirt. After that fun night, the group decided to push with the afterparty at Mango Avenue. The Sandugo Masters hit the song hits as a night of singing and mingling with friends from the Summer class joined in.
The group attended a seminar on many things that prove to be essential in becoming an effective public administrator. The talks featured Ms. Maria Jaybee Jonafe Binghay on Public Speaking especially with regards to management issues. Followed by Prof. Stephen James D. Taylaran on Handling Stress and Organizational Development.
Examinations are one of the few thing airconditioned room. Moreover, it is also the fe when the clock approaches a certain time. For the Sandugo Masters, their Comp memorable not just because of the test questions happened after the stress. More than that, they’r

prehensive Exam is something s but because of the bonding that re one step closer to graduation!
It is no joke to hold an exam even amidst an earthquake. The Sandugo Masters were tested not only of their wits but also of their endurance. The 7.2 Magnitude Earthquake has left them stranded in Cebu with their Revalida. However, they have struggled and in the end emerged triumphant. The experience has made the bonds of friendship become stronger than ever. After all those trials, they are finally coming close to the finish line- their graduation.

After all the trials, the group has graduated with their degrees as Masters in Public Administration. However, even without the frequent meetings brought by class, they have remained to be friends not only amongst themselves but also with their dear professors. They held a get-together to commemorate their friendship but also to come together in the spirit of Christmas.
