Bio

I am an experienced, passionate, and confident Interior/Technical Designer looking for a new and challenging position.

I was recently laid off from Gensler, Newport Beach (one of the largest architecture firms in the world) due to COVID-19. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from Humber College. Before moving to the United states with my boyfriend, I was the Northwest US store designer for Lululemon working at the headoffice in Vancouver, British Columbia for 3 successful years. I love learning new things, challenging myself, travelling and expanding my cultural and environmental design knowledge, which allows my unique design recognition to thrive!

Residential Design Introduction - Paul Residence I had the opportunity to help the design team at K Paul architect, with the full renovation of Kamal Paul’s residence (owner of the company). This was an ongoing project for about a year. I was assigned a few rooms in the house to design alone as well as with a team of designers. This was a unique project because the owner was willing to experiement and gave me full support to surprise him with custom designs. I was incharge of the powder washroom on the main floor, the living and dinning room, his childrens bedrooms, his childrens washroom and his guest washroom.

Residential Design - Cottage project Introduction The conceptual design approach was to design a structure that re-flecked the land of Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. Parry Sound is mostly rock with pine, birch, cedar, juniper and the location of the site is on a slope. The structure is designed to blend with its surrounding environment. Due to the site level changes, the structure nestles naturally between the rocks and trees. Stone, concrete and wood are used throughout the space to keep the natural cottage feel.

Product Design Custom fit room stool (bar stool height) Concept: Inspired by natures natural colour’s with the integration of man-made materials. My design would combine masculine and strong elements with feminine detailed brass fasteners. The red metal trim adds a pop of colour and creates a feeling of warmth and smoothness to the overall look and feel of the stool.

Product Design Custom outdoor fireplace Concept: Inspired by the lack of minimal designed outdoor fireplaces, when I was looking to purchase one for my condo patio. I wanted a fireplace that would match any type of furniture style and have a low profile. I designed something that would be easy to create one simple mold for easy and fast production. The low profile allows for maximum heat and enough space to put your feet up, while you enjoy your favourite beverage.

Woodbine Shopping Centre, ON, Canada Preliminary concept The design of Woodbine Centre and its future growth should establish itself as an entertainment, shopping and dining destination. A place of discovery and a one stop environment for all. Each element should contributetoanatmospherethatprovidesvisualstimulationandencourages community interaction. Prisms, with their unique optical and physical characteristics provided inspiration for this conceptual proposal. Each facet, angle and plane was takenintoconsiderationtodevelopanenvironmentwhichiscrisp,simple and structured. With this in mind a simple material palette places emphasis on each tenants unique faรงade. Refraction of light and movement of the sun throughout the day consistently changes the appearance of the common elements. Contrast and light provides guests with subtle visual cues for ease of movement throughout. With the execution of this design vision we intend to create an entertainment complex which elevates Woodbine Centre to a unique retail position within the market.

Scarborough Town Centre, ON, Canada Commerical security offices and management Scarborough security offices, located inside the Scarborough town centre were being renovated.This was a design team effort but my role was to come up with the material board, design the floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, elevations and feature walls. The concept was to keep everything light and fresh to match the existing renovated mall as well as keeping the selected materials under budget and low maintenance. The pop of orange and blue on feature walls, brighten and give the space an inviting and energetic feel while keeping some of the existing colours. The exterior of the office has a custom frosted glass design to control privacy but still allows shoppers to know there is a security office monitoring the safety of the mall.

Introduction The primary objective of this research study is to support development of a facility which enhances living a healthy lifestyle by providing and educating people with the tools and knowledge to get started. The target goals will focus on innovation to improve users mental and physical experience to live healthier lifestyles. Mission statement To provide an entertaining, educational and innovative experience that meets the needs of the entire family, to live a healthy lifestyle, This center will also help connect the Port Credit community to their local lake. Vision The healthy lifestyle centre will help guide communities, families and individuals to achieve their total health, athletic aspirations and fitness goals. The centre is innovative, exciting and engaging for all ages. Concept The concept is levels of privacy through branches. Branches provide privacy and shade.ThebranchsymbolizestheconnectionbetweenthePortCreditcommunity and the lake views.
