HOLLYWOOD BOWL Hollywood, CA Firm: RIOS Role: Project Designer Phases: Pre-design, Concept Design Year: 2022 - 2023 Contributions: Project Management, Consultant Coordination, Concept Design The Hollywood Bowl Artists Pavilion is an addition to the rooftop of an existing restroom building which will serve as a VIP and event space for the Hollywood Bowl. As a unique project with an historic site, the design for the pavilion seeks to harmoniously echo the language of the bowl while not detracting attention from the bandshell. With a challenging site, our strategy required robust site research to strategize how much of the building can be suspended from a truss system and accommodate a steep adjacent hillside.
