Wilmette Residence, IL 2012 New 20 000 sf family residence designed with an emphasis on low carbon footprint achieved via passive geothermal, solar and passive design considerations. Design, detailing, specifications, construction administration.
15000 sf 4 story family residence including indoor gym and guest house. This ground up construction located on a spectacular Lakeside property of a Chicago suburb, Wilmette.
Lake-front elevation Living in quarters take advantage of spectacular view of Lake Michigan. First Floor, with 10 foot ceiling and seamless inside /outside transition and more private 2nd oor for kids. Second Floor - Kids Rooms Terrace Warm yet stark expression of wood in the house is stained black.

Pfeiffer Residence, NYC 2009
2000 sf Complete renovation of an apartment and artist studio in converted school building Pffeiffer Residence and artist studio, GRAstudio, 2009 This gut renovation aimed to offer generous breathing room for an open, airy artist studio and at the same time provide privacy and intimacy for living space.
The space is divided in two with an oversized wall which neatly conceals a jig saw puzzle of private space elements, clad in wood.
Handrail Detail
The stair with storage and laundry space below
Large sliding glass door separates kitchen from the bathroom and opens up further into the closet space/ stair to the upper level of the bedroom (which looks down onto kitchen)
Reclaimed heart pine plank (in herringbone pattern) clad dividing wall is capped with 1/8� steel to create a sharp and clean edge.
Breathing Room
Wall mounted kitchen cabinet is a unique steel and glass design with custom pivot hinges and oversized smoke glass doors, and with the wood panel inset light source it is intended to create a sense of dreamy ,elegant ambiguity.

Abstract landscape of custom display fixtures, graphics, and lighting Stimulus, Japan. A retail store prototype, SAS, 2005 Unique materials and forms are to create an immersive spatial experience. The elements assembled create a palette that suggests an understated and natural luxury for this high end ready-to-wear fashion brand: glazed ceramic display shelves and clothes hangers shaped like flying birds, painted steel display tables akin to fallen trees, linen silk light fixtures that float like passing clouds, and cork floors like perfectly flat soil.

A retail store prototype, GSA, 2005 Rather than thinking of an overall spatial atmosphere with generic fixtures for the display of clothing, a rather plain space with very specific and detailed display fixtures as the things which defined the storeʼs spatial experience was conceived. The display fixtures could be arranged in any number of combinations within the retail space as they were imagined to be freestanding and of the same size and shape.

Top three finalist for the re-design of public spaces and gardens American Museum of the Moving Image competition, GSA, 2005 The design scheme proposes the addition of a definitive new element - the Ribbon to the existing building.
The Ribbon would create a continuous space capable of integrating the different required public programmatic components such us: access ramp, marquee, lobby ticketing area, coat check, front and rear entrances, cafĂŠ, museum shop, and screening garden into a coherent experience and volume.
Along the surfaces of the interior of the Ribbon- floors, walls and ceiling- the use of projection would allow for the display of moving images as part of the immersive spatial experience of a museum dedicated to such. Architecture and image would blur into a holistic spatial experience.
