Welcome!
My name is Joanna Tillman. I’m a photographer who specializes in portraits. What does that mean? Well, I’ve speant years and YEARS honing the art & craft of photographing people. I picked up my first camera when I was 12 and knew pretty soon that photography was My Thing. While in highschool, I started taking senior pictures for friends, and I went on to study in photography in college, focusing largely on photographing people. I graduated with a BA in Art and Photography in 2006. Since then I’ve gotten married to a great guy (he’s in the US Navy), started my business (2017 is my 5 year anniversary!), been published in local and international journals, and have worked with so many wonderful people. That’s probably my favorite thing about my job: meeting people and telling their story with photographs. I can’t wait to tell yours.

Pricing
I use an “a la carte” method of pricing, meaning there is a session fee and after the shoot you only purchase the photos you love! There are no purchase minimums and no hard sell. You’ll have the opportunity to view your photos, use your Digital Negative Credit (complimentary with each session fee to get you started), and purchase any additional Digital Negatives, prints, or art products at our PHOTO VIEWING & ORDERING SESSION, which usually takes place about 2 weeks after the shoot.

FAQs: How many photos will we see at our viewing / ordering session? That depends on the photo session you chose (I have time to take more photos at longer sessions). Here are the average proof counts: Lifestyle Session (2 hours): 50-70 proofs Standard Session (1 hour): 20-30 proofs Mini Session (30 minutes): 10-15 proofs
FAQs: What is an Edited Digital Negative? The finished digital version of each image is a digital negative - these are high resolution, full quality files that you can use to make unlimited prints up to 11x14�, holiday cards, share on social media, whatever you like. Each finished digital negative is carefully, professionally edited. Each image can take up to an hour to edit- this process is an art in-and-of itself and every effort is taken to give you a beautiful finished product.

High resolution digital file is included with purchase of framed image.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Add 6% MD sales tax to all orders. Full session fee is due upon booking / contract signing. Edited digital files are delivered within 2 weeks. All other products take 2-4 weeks for delivery. Payment for products is due upon ordering. Payment plans are available: 50% at ordering session and the remaining 50% in 4 weeks -- products delivered upon final payment. Credit card, cash, and check made to Joanna Tillman are accepted.
