Working in her warm, colourful Hampshire studio, Joanne creates beautifully patterned and wonderfully wearable silver and 24k gold jewellery for people who love being close to nature. Her pieces are tactile, with raised designs impressed upon the precious metal using her very own unique mix of modern and traditional techniques, developed with help from an Arts Council England Talent Development bursary. Joanne’s Golden Watercolour Collection combines the luxurious warmth of soft 24k gold with the strength of silver to create warm, muted two-toned pendants and earrings, whilst the Classic Watercolour Collection showcases beautifully textured fresh silver. The Woodland Watercolour Collection takes traditional motifs such as leaf, flower, fox and hare and gives them a playful and contemporary twist to create pendants, necklaces and brooches. Her favourites are the foxes and hares as they are more of a challenge to saw from the sheet metal - but don’t tell the other designs!

A mix of modern and traditional Each piece of Joanne Tinley Jewellery is designed and created using a mix of modern and ancient techniques. Keum Boo (literally “attached gold�), a thousands year old Korean technique is used to bond 24K gold and fine silver together at the atomic level using just heat and pressure to create beautiful twotoned pendants and earrings in the Golden Watercolour Collection - it really is magical! In contrast, the unique patterns on the jewellery begin as watercolour and pen and ink illustrations in Joanne’s sketchbooks. A computer and laser engraver to turn these illustrations into sheets of embossed card. Passing this with sheet metal through a rolling mill (another traditional piece of equipment!) creates the wonderfully tactile raised patterns you can see here without the use of traditional etching chemicals - a modern and more environmentally-friendly approach!

Quotes for shipping international orders available on request. • Orders are on a proforma basis and therefore must be paid for before your order is dispatched. However, a 30-day credit account may be set up for repeat wholesale customers. • Please allow up to 21 days lead time to ensure timely delivery, although every effort is made to deliver orders sooner than this. All Joanne Tinley Jewellery comes with gift boxes, tissue paper and care cards included in the price. Pendants are supplied with 18” chains unless otherwise stated although 16” chains can be substituted on request.
