2005 WWW.ULA.COM/VE HEADQUARTERS Mérida - Mérida - Venezuela An experimental design workshop for the 5th semester was performed, where 3 teachers aligned ideas in 3 projects, each with emphasis in different areas of architecture design, as tectonics, topography, land emplacement and urban design. For this project the concept of an iconic building was given, architecture was to speak “merchandising language” identifying a brand, in this case the university’s web site (as a technology approach). The building hosts the servers, acts as offices headquarters and as civic center. The university was chosen for its particular importance to the city. The result explores with the public space and technological enhancements.

2010 BUSINESS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPLEX Valencia - Carabobo - Venezuela Graduate Special Work titled: “La representación como instrumento para la construcción del discurso espacial de la arquitectura”. Academic project were architectural design is supported by theoretical propositions and research. Project ranged almost to full architectural development of 3 out of 5 buildings of the complex, including: a business tower, a concert hall and gallery and a commercial center. Design involved site planning, landscape design for public spaces and architectural detailing. Tutor: Prof. Arq. Donny Arcia. Awarded with “Honourific Mention”

201 METROPOLITAN PARK INTERVENTION Valencia - Carabobo - Venezuela An open call to a contest named “ideas for public spaces”, promoted by one of the biggest ceramic tile manufacturers of the country, resulted in this proposal where an intervention for Valencia’s Cabriales River border was chosen as the place were “ideas” were needed due a status of degradation of Metropolitan open park areas. Conceptually three focal points were connected through a long looped walkway path, horizontally and vertically leading through different activities and complementary services that would motivate an energy renewal in the place.

BLANK STUDIO #YODISEÑOENVENEZUELA Interior Design Contest A contest held to motivate local interior designers to take our region for inspiration combined to the use of specific brands of wallpaper, fabrics and decoration accessories. A receptacle and a character was given to represent its personality along with regionalism to conceptualize a “space to live”. “Paradise Falls” (Disney’s Up), Barcelona line Furniture (Mies van der Rohe), a contrasting regional color scheme and the brand “Tres Tintas” (Spain) were chosen to create Fernando’s place, a serious lawyer yet former punk-rock-skater. The design was selected among top five best proposals.

201 HOLIDAY HOUSE Architectural and Interior Academic Project As a teacher I designed this house focusing in the purpose of the subject, to make available for the students a visual guide for how a design should be represented in blueprints; they would use these and other images along with my directions to fully draw the house plans. Architecturally the house is very plain and uses diagonal lines so students should read the orthogonal projections. Internally the spaces are eclectic but mostly modern and contemporary.

201 PHOENIX SALON Valencia - Carabobo - Venezuela A commercial establishment with a mezzanine level was to be conditioned for the use of a beauty salon. In the ground floor the layout proposes a reception, a waiting area and the stylist’s stations; the mezzanine has a chamber for beauty and therapeutic therapies and a make-up artist station. The interior vibe ranges between classic and contemporary, using concrete, marble and 3form for the finishes.

PASO LLANERO INN Camaguán - Guárico - Venezuela “Paso Llanero” Inn offers accommodation for families traveling through national plains among its 24 rooms and its 12 cabanas. This inn is conceived to be a complementary service of an already established restaurant preferred by those on the road to “Camaguán Estuary”.

201 DUPLEX APPARTMENT Valencia - Carabobo - Venezuela A young couple felt the need to reflect their personality and dynamics into their new home were a place to “dine and wine� had to be the core in a double height duplex apartment. As clients they asked for a place to have visitors and dine but not a dining room; a counter-top that runs from the kitchen and ends as a bar was the result. For the design wall covering and flooring was chosen and a column was decorated with a vertical garden, kitchen and bedrooms were also part of the design.

2014 RG HOUSE Coro - Falcรณn - Venezuela A young couple have a land available where they wish to build their property as they will be growing to family in the near future. A two story townhouse was designed for them, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and access to a roof terrace, which was the only available space to set amenities like a jacuzzi and a barbecue under the pergola.

201 MH HOUSE San Diego - Carabobo - Venezuela Hernรกndez Family crave for an expansion of the small house they live in, taking advantage of the area available. The original house grew one story above plus the construction of a new three story wing over the existing basement, the house had have some previous interventions from its former owners and had an irregular layout of multiple levels as a result of its construction over a slope. The new program offered more bedrooms, a family and a play room, bigger spaces, and access to a roof terrace.

COAST GUARDS MAIN BASE El Gran Roque - Los Roques - Venezuela With the establishment of Archipiélago Los Roques (Los Roques Archipelago) as island national territory, “El Gran Roque” required to grew its naval base to a higher degree for which they contracted OTP Consultores CA and Partners to deliver a project for the new main base for armada, along with other projects for the island. With the directions of an architect assimilated in militia I generated the conceptual and functional layout for the later development in team group. The building had to be considerate to the environment which is under the ministries of environment and tourism protection, for it is a national park.
201 LH COUNTRY HOUSE ChirgĂźa - Carabobo - Venezuela A country house within ChirgĂźa mountains, the radial concept tries to capture the views from most spaces and aligns the program in a fun layout where the spaces are integrated with the surroundings. The house consists in a master suite that looks upon the pool, and 4 bedrooms. Kitchen, living and dining are integrated to each other, and located at the center of the house as the most open areas, providing window walls that frames the landscapes.

P33 HOUSE Chichiriviche - Falcón - Venezuela A housing urbanism is to develop in the area of Flamingo in Chichiriviche, concept is beach-vacation townhouses, a project made, directed and contracted by OTP Consultores, CA. Who had set a couple of lots to be build independently and privately. Instead of continuing the townhouse model they’ve decided to go with a different concept. P33 and P40 were given to me as independent projects for two bigger houses in the complex, same vacation concept, modern and that could allow a bigger party of people

SANTAS CAĂ‘AS BAR San Diego - Carabobo - Venezuela A commercial establishment was to be conditioned for the use of a bar. The place was divided in two spaces, one just the space enough for a functional kitchen, the second is a salon where the somewhat large bar takes prominence, where the beer is drafted for service. The interior vive ranges between vintage and contemporary, using concrete, wood, black painted bricks and blackboards.

HOTEL AND RESORT CONCEPTUALIZATION Architectural design and visualization in concept phase Baby Beach Aruba - this was one of many ideas presented to NH Hotels by OTP Consultores CA consultancy firm for a resort to be placed around Baby Beach in Aruba Island. The images just intended to be a sketchy representation of the architectural concept for the resort. Adicora Venezuela - In ParaguanĂĄ Peninsula (Venezuela) OTP Consultores CA proposed this building of aparthotels to complement natural touristic offer of the region. Lake Blue at Chichiriviche - also a proposal of aparthotels for the central coast region of the country.
201 HOTEL AND RESORT CONCEPTUALIZATION Architectural design and visualization in concept phase “Las Islas” Hotel and Resort, was an idea proposed by OTP Consultores CA, consultancy firm in which I was asked to design a resort that would have the feeling of a cruise ship. The images were made as conceptual sketches presented along with schematic plans to promoters and investors who would be interested in execute this project in Chichiriviche Falcón Estate (Venezuela)

PARAISO CUARE CONCEPTUALIZATION Architectural design and visualization in concept phase Paraíso Cuare refers to an urban touristic complex that was proposed by consultancy firm OTP Consultores CA, for Chichiriviche at Falcón Estate (Venezuela). This place attracts tourists from all over the country and the world for its beautiful beaches. Paraíso Cuare would provide services, mainly lodging in different typologies, commercial and recreational, themed and inspired by venezuelan colonial architecture. This images were used to present the idea to investors, the project was later developed in a team.
