Welcome Back to School! Key Clubbers!, School is officially back in session, and I hope you all had amazing summers! Along with school comes the start of club meetings! Many of you have already, or are about to begin having your first meetings of the year, which is super exciting! This year is a super important year for Key Club, because not only is Kiwanis turning 100 years old, but it is also the last year for Project Eliminate! Throughout the year, Division 45, along with the rest of the PNW District will be working extremely hard to raise money and Eliminate MNT! More information regarding The Eliminate Project is available later in the newsletter. This year in Division 45 we will put a large emphasis on building relationships within our Division by having fun and rewarding DCM’s and service projects, building connections to the District by attending DCON, and Rally’s, growing our home clubs, and of course serving the community and world! Division 45 Owl Points! What is a point system? The point system is a way to keep track of who’s attending DCM’s, turning in officer reports, etc, and it gives your club the chance to be rewarded for it! Each item is worth a different about of points, and at the end of the month each schools points are tallied and added to their total. At the end of the year, the school with the most points will be thrown an icecream party! School

Message From the Governor!
Dear PNW Key Clubbers, I hope everyone has had a great start of the school year, and you know what the start of the school year means... Your club’s first Key Club Meeting! Key Club is in full bloom, and I can’t wait to see what your clubs are doing for service and fundraisers! Remember, if you show how passionate you are for Key Club others will be inspired to join. Be proud to be a Key Clubber and remember to exemplify leadership and character, while always being inclusive and caring to those around you. Meeting all of you at the rallies was so inspiring; you are all constantly dedicating your time and love to the communities across the Pacific Northwest. I love how you represent key club with your pride and spirit while showing the dedication and compassion you hold for others. As always, remember the district board is here for the members and clubs. Please feel free to contact us at any time with your questions or concerns. I hope to see y’all at DCON 2015! Lisa Antonio 17 17

Key Clubber of the Month! Hey there! My name is Amelia Davis and I am a junior at Columbia River High School. I’ve been a member of Key Club since my freshmen year, and I don’t regret it one bit! Most people will tell you that they joined Key Club in order to better the community, but for me, Key Club honestly started out as a way to make friends in my first year of high school— I didn’t really know anyone and I was really shy, but Key Club helped me to branch out. Since then, I’ve grown passionate about what Key Club stands for and the common purpose that we all serve together. I’ve made some of the greatest friends I’ve ever had, which wasn’t hard, because everyone in Key Club is friend material. I’ve volunteered more times than I can count, which I still don’t understand, since my time seems to be evaporating with each year of the IB program. I was even bold enough to run for an office! Now, I’m proud to say that I am River’s Key Club treasurer, and I will continue to work toward the well-being of my school, Want to nominate a my community, and the world in any way I can! member of your
club? APPLY HERE!
