JUNE 2020 monthly newsletter Spring is in the air and summer is just around the corner. Despite the COVID-19 challenges we have faced - we have faced them together!
BITTERROOT STRONG! Let's start planning for our valley visitors and newcomers. All chamber members are encouraged to display your collateral at no additional cost in our lobby. Stop by anytime with brochures, business cards, rack cards, menus, etc. We are happy to help!
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR Al Mitchell Maybe it's because I'm an old
Bitterrooter, but I hate the term "new
normal ". It is new, however, there is very little normal about it. True - we have been practicing CDC Guidelines here at the Chamber: Cleaning all areas, sanitizing, trying our best to maintain a six foot distance, and there is nothing wrong with washing your hands with soap and water. We probably should have been doing that all along. Today is June 1st, the beginning of Phase II and hopefully we are on the path to some of the "old normal " or just "plain normal " as I like to call it. To this end, the Bitterroot Valley Chamber Board of Directors has made the decision to move ahead with our 26th Annual Bitterroot Brewfest. There will be challenges to overcome and we must exercise caution. The Chamber leadership and the majority of our members are looking for some relief to the current situation. We are blessed to live in a beautiful state with an abundance of space to practice social distancing. If we are wise and make good choices we feel that this will be a safe and much needed Community event.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ravalli County is here! In partnership with Sapphire Community Health, all children from birth through five residing in Ravalli County are eligible to receive a free high-quality, age-appropriate book mailed to their homes each month until their 5th birthday. Thanks to donations from the Elks Club Lodge 1651 and Bitterroot Law we were able to have a soft start with Head Start Children in April. And a big shout out to First Security for just announcing they will be our title sponsor! We immediately opened the book gifting program yesterday and already have over 200 children registered!
