Practice of the chapter´s vocabulary (writing about students’ personal experiencies including words used in the book).

Reading of the chapter

Individual and quiet reading

Dramatization of the reading

Writing and performance of the skit

Rubric for the skit (Work in small groups: 2-3 students) 1.

Writing of at least 5 lines for each character.

2.

Review with the teacher in a dramatized reading.

3.

Practice and memorizing.

4.

“Preparados, listos, ya: Performance!!!

Capítulo 1. Conocemos a Alejandro Alejandro´s room is a mess and his mom complains about that, but he tries to convince her that it´s fine:

CapĂtulo 2. El viaje Alejandro arrives to Madrid with his family but before enjoying the city, he needs to go through customs. There, a Spanish policeman waits for him:

CapĂtulo 3. La gitana Alejandro gets lost in the center of Madrid and helps a gypsy girl. In gratitude, her mom gives to him a magic ring.

I evaluate, we evaluate:

We watch the videos of the skit in class and complete a chart paying special attention to: • What their classmates did really well; • What they could improve; • Their favorite sentence or moment of each skit, and why.

Goal: a project that… 

Is open to all the levels of the class.

Includes diverse learners.

Develops the 4 skills in context:

reading, writing, listening and speaking. 

Encourages CREATIVITY!
