One of the features of this December issue is the Holiday Gala at the Portland Yacht Club. The social committee started working on this event back in January. Doug Foster, who is a member of the Yacht Club, offered to help arrange our event there. Thank you, Doug, for offering this wonderful venue to us. It seems like a central location for all our members. More than 150 members have already signed up for the event and there will be a big table for all the Toys for Tots gifts that we are collecting for the Marine Corps Reserve. Thank you to the social committee for pulling together all of the pieces that make up a large event.

We also lost a dear member of the club recently. John Thomas was a member for 13 years. I have worked with him over the last few years to help him pay his membership dues and sell his cars. Both his 1975 911S and his Macan have new homes now. Please check out the article by Joe Kelly on John’s passing. Rest in Peace John.

The last email of 2023 will be Wednesday, December 13. We will start up again on January 3, 2024. The Anzeiger team will take a break In January but will be back at work for the February edition.
