Final Design A render of the product used to create prototype one and support the kickstarter campaign. The campaign was funded in under 48 hours and is in the top 5% of all successfully funded Kickstarter projects of 2015.
Concept Ideation Hand and Photoshop sketches of base unit, a Kickstarter stretch goal to help entice supporters and raise funds.
Prototype one An aesthetic model created to test the size, form and ergonomics with the consumers.
Remove
Retouch3D’s remover heads make it easy to remove large support structures, as well as close-in structures that are hard to reach.
Refine
Refine your print's details. Retouch3D’s refining heads will allow you to refine both small and large layer imperfections. Retouch3D’s micro refiner head will carefully refine curved and close-in overhangs.
Blend
Surface blending. Use Retouch3D’s blender head to even-out print surfaces and infill gaps. Blend the extraneous ridged surfaces of your 3D print to reach the finish your model deserves.

A smart football protective guard that adapts to the users individual needs through the integration of custom parts.
Exploded View The shin guard is broken down into 3 key contact areas. Plate 1 is where most tackles occur, plate 2 protects the tibia and fibula from harsh slide tackles and plate 3 is for ball control. Each plate can be customised by form and material to perform different functions; these are 3D printed to suit the player’s position, needs and skills.

PULSE A Hypertension companion that empowers suffers, reduces stress and promotes positive long term behaviour change. This project reached the final stages of the 2016 RSA student awards and was highly commended by the judging panel.
Pulse “Pulse� is designed to help reduce blood pressure, stress and improve self-management of hypertension. It teaches relaxation techniques from multiple disciplines. Users are taken on a journey through the universe by projecting biofeedback; this is done whilst employing breathing techniques and Binaural Beats technology to increase their focused state. This experience can be customised to suit the consumers aims, happiness, relaxation, sleep deprivation and other goals.

Smart Bracelet The bracelet provides constant monitoring, the ability to track results, identify trends, see your progress and removes the possibility of white coat syndrome.
Overview

The smart bracelet is used on the go and constantly monitors the user’s blood pressure which provides them and their GP with rich trackable data. The user is able to check their blood pressure status during the day by switching the bracelet on and off of stealth mode. This provides the user with a simple indication of their blood pressure status; green, blue or red. They can see further information by pressing the screen. This basic colour indication allows the user to consciously act and employ their relaxation techniques learnt from the morning’s “meditation” therefore defusing any stressful situation.

The personal extraction attaches to the main stem through hidden magnets, allowing for adjustable height and angle.
The laser unit projects a laser grid, adjustable straight line and a super bright worklight.
Design For Manufacture The selected manufacturing processes are CNC, extrusion and injection moulding. Most of the components are injection moulded due it being a fast and cost effective process when manufacturing over 200,000 units. Injection moulding is advantageous when forming thermoplastic. The A surfaced parts are coated with soft touch finish which increases the durability and aesthetics of the product.
