Our commitment to have a greater impact In 2018: ●● We delivered our pilot conference which included a career panel
and three workshops. ●● We established a solid network of phenomenal
role models.
For our 2019-2020 cohort of students: ●● We increased the numbers to 100 students ●● Added 4 after school sessions
For our 2020-2021 cohort of students the changes we plan to implement are as follows: ●● Add more after school sessions to cover a broader spectrum of
topics, give the students more opportunities to come together and learn further leadership and life skills. ●● Have an additional corporate hosted event. Ideally a STEM day at
a tech company, in addition to the financial literacy/finance career day hosted by Barings. ●● Broaden the breadth of career journeys of our role model network
to include more from the STEM, creative and media industries. ●● Incorporate more role model engagement in the programming
overall by including them more in the school sessions and involving them in smaller breakout groups whenever possible. ●● Launch our website and add administrative support to help with
the execution of our programmes.
We believe these changes will improve the overall experience of the students, meet their needs of more one-on-one interfacing with the role models, give them more exposure to career opportunities, help foster a sense of community, and improve the learning of the skills on offer.
