Space Telescope

$279

This is a great telescope for observing distant planets, star clusters, nebuals and many more. This is perfect for beginner astronomy and astrophotography. It is easy to use not much setup perfect for beginners. Very good images nice and clear. Can view very far away such as Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s moons. Light weight easy to transport to those special days.

Saturn

Saturn is the sixth planet out of the eight planets. It is a gas giant so unlike the rocky planets like earth, it has a lot more gas and it has very bad weather. It is around 95 times bigger then earth and has no life on the planet. It was discovered by Dutch astronomer Christiaan Huygens in 1659 and solved that Saturn’s so called arms are its rings. He also discovered it’s moon Titan.

3

Uranus

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. It is classified as a gas giant and it has rings (like all gas giants). Uranus also has many moons. It also contains ammonia, methane and ice. It has a minimum temperature of -‐224 Celsius. Sir William Herschel discovered Uranus on March 13th, 1781. It was sighted many times earlier but not officially confirmed.

Felix Baumgartner Felix Baumgartner amazed the world by free falling from space in 2012. Here are our editors to tell us their opinions on this miraculous jump.

“It was exhilarating to watch it was unbelievable how he did something so brave.” “It was mind-‐blowing how Felix didn’t blow up, technology these days.” “I rate it 5 stars out of 5 for its amazing footage and his bravery.” “I hope he does more of these amazing things.”

We surveyed 30 grade 5’s and Uranus Won because I think boys wanted to be chucklesome. Neptune got the least because it’s the furthest planet. 12

An Interview Neil Armstrong

What was going through your mind when you stepped on the moon? “Well, it was amazing. My heart was beating rapidly, it’s hard to describe but… it was exhilarating.” How easily was it to eat in space? “It was pretty hard, I had to have it all in a tube and had to suck it out.” What inspired you to go to space? “Well, every night I looked at the moon and wondered if it was possible to go there, I took it as a challenge and accomplished it.” If you had a choice to go to another planet what will it be, why? “I’d say Mars because it’s always been such a mystery and always wondered if it had life on it. Also there was signs of life along time ago I find it very intriguing.” How did you go to toilet in space?

9

“Well you have to get strapped to the toilet so you don’t float off very challenging.” Did you think you were in safe hands or were you terrified? “I was a bit of both, I was terrified but I knew I was safe. I was a bit more terrified then thinking I was safe.” Was your spacesuit heavy before you launched into space? Also how much does it weigh. “It was significantly heavy, I couldn’t bare it. I don’t know how much it weighed but it was fairly heavy.” Were you worried about breathing? “It was frightening when I was breathing because if my helmet came off I was history.” What would you rate the whole journey out of 10? “I’d say ten because the experience on another whole world and being on our moon and zero gravity exhilarating.” Thank you for participating in this interview.
