Born and raised between Lima, Peru, and Miami, Florida, I started noticing design at a young age, thanks to the stark contrast between the diverse architectural styles in Peru and the modern high-rise buildings of downtown Miami. This unique blend of influences sparked my deep interest in architecture. I am a New York-based Designer with over 3 years of experience in the design field. My approach is marked by adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering results.
I hold a 5-year Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University, which has provided me with a comprehensive foundation in design. My interests are both diverse and extensive, encompassing a wide spectrum from contemporary architecture to brand imaging and development, interior design, furniture, and fashion.
I firmly believe in the transformative potential of thoughtful design to elevate the quality of life and evoke profound emotions in its users. I advocate for the idea that its visual expression should be just as nuanced and impactful, creating memorable experiences.
A DEVELOPING FRAMEWORK
The 2010 earthquake in Haiti damaged and destroyed 295,000 homes displacing 5 million people. Twelve years later, Haitians are still living in “tent camps” under tarps or behind pieces of carton or rusty metal with no running water, electricity, or latrines. Although these informal settlements provide temporary shelter, they are one hurricane away from being washed away.
In collaboration with Jorge Blandin.
Located in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, this thesis consists of creating a framework that includes the essential infrastructure of glulam living modules, water towers, kitchens, bathrooms, and circulation. While the essential amenities are provided, the users will bring forward the infill materials according to their needs, finances, and personal tastes. By providing the essential infrastructure embedded in a solid structural foundation, these modules can enable the necessary growth and development of the community. Furthermore, the addition of communal spaces such as a market and a park on the ground floor will promote a sense of belonging and create a sense of community.

By providing the essential infrastructure embedded in a solid structural foundation, this framework can enable the necessary growth and development of the community.
STACKED
Stacked represents a versatile mixed-use structure that elegantly merges distinct functions across two distinct sections. Upon entering, visitors are guided towards the more secluded segment, housing Prospect HQ. On the public-facing side, the building showcases a vibrant blend of retail spaces and an art gallery at the forefront, complemented by a range of adaptable coworking areas and offices spanning the second to fourth floors. This project’s central objective revolves around redefining the conventional work environment by crafting dynamic spaces tailored to user requirements. Inspired by the site’s contextual surroundings, the building features a harmonious fusion of three distinct brick types, employing a blend of time-honored craftsmanship and innovative techniques to impart a truly distinctive aesthetic.
As one journeys through the building, the workspaces undergo a seamless transformation, evolving into increasingly private zones as they ascend to higher floors. This concept of privacy is artistically embodied in the facade’s nuanced brick gradient. The ground floor, accommodating retail spaces, employs transparent glass bricks, while the middle section integrates perforated concrete bricks, facilitating the creation of secluded outdoor terraces. At the pinnacle of the structure, painted bricks grace the facade, culminating this architectural narrative.

The facade design draws inspiration from the surrounding context, while the overall architectural form is influenced by the traditional courtyard typology and the prevalent use of porches in New Orleans. Within this structure, the central courtyard is enveloped by a series of diverse ‘porches,’ each thoughtfully crafted with varying layouts and dimensions, serving to offer occupants privacy and versatile spaces for work and collaboration.
URBAN BUILD 16
Urban Build 16 stands as an innovative single-level infill prototype nestled within an urban setting in New Orleans. Spanning 1,000 square feet, this design features a two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout thoughtfully complemented by petite courtyards adjoining the bathrooms. A spacious central courtyard forms a visual connection, linking the smaller courtyards via a wooden screen. This expansive courtyard seamlessly integrates with communal areas, giving rise to a dynamic interplay of indoor and outdoor spaces within the residence.
In collaboration with Walid Shahin.
Taking the project to the next level, the concept of replicating the design within a community context was elaborated. This exploration involved a deep dive into the adaptability of various elements within the house, like the courtyard and the entrance, to cater to diverse owner needs and preferences.

FUNKS TUDIO
Funk Studio was born in the back row of a Tulane University architecture classroom. As four best friends chatted during a break in our busy senior year schedules, we dreamt up the idea of unique custom acrylic earrings we could sell to our friends for Mardi Gras. This passion project quickly grew into a business we felt excited about and could use as an outlet for our creative minds to experiment with designs and materials. We have continued to make acrylic earrings while adding other products in line with our creative exploration.
