01. MANIFESTO The project is conceived as an amalgamation of buildings, embracing the intersection of various systems, demographics, programs, and activities. The building simply manifests the complex nature and needs of the site into a built form, result in a chain reaction of unexpected events and situations.
The project created is a mixed use residential complex that can accommodate 230 resident, that are targeted to mainly refugees and local Berliners due to their already temporal residence on the site in container housing. The project is designed to be used with flexibility in different aspects and uses. The residential section consist of mechanical moving walls that extend outwards from the facade, creating a ever changing facade from the outside. The public and communal section consist of a multitude of angular courtyards that can accommodate activities and multi-cultural events, as well as an internal communal space and learning facilities, consisting of a library and study areas, a communal rooms, TV rooms, Cafe and an ofice space used by residents to manage the spaces.

The ground floor of the factory is separated into three sections, reception area, workshop spaces and loading/storage bay. The reception area is accessible to the public through the front while the rest is strictly for employees and accessible from the back.
The exhibition floor is a multiple display showroom that opens up to the factory through glass flooring to showcase the process of watchmaking to the public while having physical representation on display.
PLANS | 12
The restaurant/Cafe is located in between the exhibition space and ofice floor to act as a meeting point/interaction space between the employees and the public
The ofices are located on the top floor to remain isolated and access restricted to provide a working environment in a establishment open to the public.
13 | ELEVATION
DESIGN VISION The design process of the Factory was established through multitude of stacking of different watch components present in the watch movement of a time piece. It generates a uniqueness to the building form that is suitable for the exhibition aspect.
ELEVATION | 14
LIGHTING DESIGN The different floor use requires different lighting variation. Therefore in the factory, windows are installed at a higher level with big opening to not restrict usability space for machinery. While for the public floor and ofice, the windows are installed from floor to ceiling to illuminate and have more inviting appeal.
MASS CONCEPTUAL PERCEPTION AND DECEPTION ACADEMIC TERM: 2ND YEAR DESIGN STUDIO | 2018 TYPE: CONCEPTUAL MODEL
17 | CONCEPT
MANIFESTO | 18
01. MANIFESTO Perception is what the individual perceives on a unique and subjective basis. Experiencing mass is a subtle act of the human body and mind specially within the unconscious. We use our eyes to visually probe the density of a mass and the space it creates.
“
“
It was the spirit animating the mass and flowing from it, and it expressed the individuality of the building . - Louis Sullivan
The project created is a interpretation of the visualization of mass in architecture, represented through a conceptual model. The representation of the model is based on mass and what can mass trigger the visual and appearance of a building to the human eye. What can be perceived as heavy due to shape and how it ills the context of a land can be light if seen from different angles. The mass can be manipulated to deceive the eye and help create levitation and interest in a building. While the voids and gaps created by the emptiness of physical mass are what we perceive as space. The model is a physical representation of how complex mass and space can be when interacted with each other, as well as when the subjectivity of the human eye analyses and differentiate the aspect of object through these factors.
19 | MANIFESTO
MASS The Model is divided in two parts, the landscape and the body. The landscape is made of a mixture of concrete and plaster poured in a silicone mold made by inverting the shape of the landscape originally made in ply wood - 167 panels of laser cut ply wood. The body is made of interlocking watercolour paper and a 3D printed part to achieve the gaps and visual voids in the solid form.

AFRICELL ANGOLA HQ | 2021
Project description: The project consist of an ofice building in Luanda, Angola for a telecommunication company requesting a design entity for multiple projects. I was
responsible of 3D building and rendering the interior of the space, and it was achievable using Sketchup, Lumion and Photoshop. The building includes server rooms, ofice space,
Cafeteria and multiple other functions.

AFRICELL GAMBIA HQ | 2021
Project description: Located in Serrekunda, Gambia, this building consist of multi ofice spaces with public facilities and was designed with a outer shell of ins to achieve thermal comfort
on the inside of the building while getting suficient day light. The design of this establishment was focused on renewable energy and criteria to be
suitable with the climate of its location. I was assigned to build, render and visualize the project, as well as elaborate and work on CAD drawings.

27 | AFRICELL GAMBIA MALL
AFRICELL GAMBIA MALL SHOP | 2021
Project description: The design of this mall shop falls within the brand identity and unites all the establishment related to the irm within the same concept and visual adaptation of clients.
I worked on CAD drawing, as well as building and rendering the interior to provide the client with visual interpretation of their shop. Tools used: AutoCAD, Sketchup,
Lumion, Photoshop as well as material maker softwares to achieve realistic model of existing materials.

HYPERPOD | 2021
Project description: The hyperpod is a movable Pod for outdoor and indoor placement and is a one man run sale point for multitude of product. The Pod is an assembly of casted iber glass
panels and pieces that are screwed to a base. It comes in different variations and is run on solar panels for a more ecological solution and flexibility when placed
outdoor. I worked on the design, CAD drawings, build it digirtally using rhino and rendered it using V-ray.

AFRICELL LUMLEY OFFICES | 2021
Project description: This ofice building in Lumley, Sierra Leone is a remodeling of an abandoned resort. The beach front location permitted multiple use for the establishment from
ofice space to restaurant and rooftop venue. To achieve thermal eficiency concrete pots illed with soil were attached to the facade to create a thick insulation to combat the
humidity and heat. I assisted with the design process, build, rendered and generated CAD drawing for the project, using Sketchup, AutoCAD, Lumion and Photoshop.
