THE VITAL WORK OF THE DIVERSITY PROJECT The Diversity Project exists in order to create true diversity and inclusivity in the British savings and investment industry.
The Diversity Project’s vision is to have the best people working in the financial industry who can best serve their clients, whilst also being representative and reflective of the society that we live in. The Diversity Project

hopes to achieve diversity in many different areas, including - but not limited to - gender, socio-economic background, age, ethnicity, disability and LGBTI+. The project is looking to increase diversity across the entire profession, from fund managers and selectors to asset owners, actuaries, trustees, pension consultants, wealth managers and the professional standards and trade bodies. The Diversity Project believes that having a diverse culture in the savings and investment industry promotes better investment decisions and effective teamwork, resulting in more sustainable businesses and better outcomes for the client. The project itself has an open, collaborative and holistic structure, working in partnership with individual firms on existing complementary initiatives. One such partner is Legal and General Investment Management, which also has a member of its staff – the Head of Personal Investing, Dame Helena Morrissey on the CEO Advisory Board for the project.
THE PROJECT ITSELF HAS AN OPEN, COLLABORATIVE AND HOLISTIC STRUCTURE, WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIVIDUAL FIRMS ON EXISTING COMPLEMENTARY INITIATIVES.
