Life got better for everyone who had access to this energy. Individuals with science degrees (John Holdren, Tom Cochran, Michael Mann, Jim Hansen, etc.), organizations with science in their name (national academies of science), universities, organizations with misleading names (Natural Resources Defense Council), actors, main stream media, and politicians (Harrison Ford, Washington Post, and Michael Bloomberg) have been working since the 1970s to have the world stop using fossil fuels. This would set humanity back to lifestyles and life expectancies of the Middle Ages or at least back to the 1800s when there was much slavery and horse manure. That would be the worst thing that has ever happened in terms of numbers of lives lost and people suffering unnecessarily. Worse than all the wars put together and invasions of the Huns. Most of today’s world population, billions, would be thrust into poverty, hard manual work. They would have to flee cities, be forced to live off a parttime, bug and rabbit eaten garden, squalid, dirty conditions, no modern medicine, environmental destruction like never before. Living in very large modern cities with high-rise buildings is different than living in towns and villages with no high-rise buildings. In modern cities, people are much more dependent on energy from fossil fuels FOR EVERYTHING. They assume that today’s energy will always be there. It won’t be when climate alarmists take it away. They won’t be able to get to their high-rise homes and offices without electricity to power elevators. Extreme high density living backs up mountains of trash and human waste without electricity and fossil fuels. See history of blackouts in New York City. Water doesn’t flow on flat surfaces or uphill. Energy infrastructure designed in the last hundred years was not designed for today’s level of terrorism or the next World War. Life in large cities is separated from chaos only by a thin line of defense that keeps energy coming. In cities, where most of humanity live now, life is very vulnerable to disastrous interruptions. Climate science realists aren't explaining the problem with man-made global warming alarmism well enough or fast enough to prevent millions of ordinary people from panicking. People in Europe and North America easily fall for scare stories and vote for politicians who claim they can save them from man-made global warming, even reverse climate change. Today’s catastrophic climate alarmism is a much bigger and more serious problem than the Pied Piper of Hamelin in Germany who took all the children away.

A simple physics explanation about carbon dioxide flow between the atmosphere, land, surface ocean and deep ocean shows that man-made carbon dioxide is not the major cause of increased carbon dioxide in the air since 1750. The increase is mostly natural. Activity from modern living is not the major cause of the rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide. Therefore, there is no catastrophic man-made global warming.
