American ignorance is growing fast (like a cancer) - Whose fault is that?

For the fun of it, I took the same test that legal immigrants are given to qualify for application to American citizenry. I passed. Even though I'm not an American and I don't live in that country, and don't even want to, I still passed.
I passed BECAUSE I'm very much a fan of the US. Not only is the USA my country's closest neighbour, but we have a common heritage with you. Furthermore, the USA has been the leader of the FREE world, and up to now, the American society has been held in high esteem worldwide with their high and righteous values and unsurpassed successes making giant technical and social strides for the good of all humanity. All no small thanks to the way you have historically governed yourselves, and the way you have taken care to foster the good life while continually improving upon the good life by offering the American Dream to any American who wants to pursue it and earn it.
Only 3% of current American high school students are able to pass this same test for American citizenry. Whose fault is that? - the students? Absolutely NOT! We ALL know the answer to that question, don't we. Maybe it's time for the complacent segment of adults that do little more than occupy space in what has been the world's greatest country, to WAKE UP, stop taking for granted what your ancestors worked and fought so hard for, and take responsibility for the futures of your heirs. BIG GOVERNMENT is NEVER going to do that for you. Half of you still know that.
Marxism is taking hold in America in a cultish way. This wretched ideology has morphed into its most insidious manifestation since Karl Marx wrote Das Kapital, and it has long since infested not only the Democratic Party, but also America's education system, the mainstream media, and now it's even rearing its ugly head in the corporate world. It's high time that America tackles this infestation and puts its citizens and their society ahead of ANY numbskull ideology - like you used to do. For that to happen, these same citizens have to take an interest, and take intelligent responsibility for choosing who leads you. With freedom comes responsibility. If you good people in America ignore your responsibility, then we ALL lose our freedoms.
Please don't take my criticism as being self-righteous. We in Canada have the exact same problems (even worse in some respects), just different actors. Canadians also have to collectively wake up, but Canada is NOT the leader of the free world. When the US wakes up, I'm sure that will be enough to wake us up too.
