It is simple to understand and sad to know

It takes a lot more environmental destruction and toxic pollution to make a lithium battery for an electric car than to make a steel gas tank for an internal combustion engine conventional car.
Multiply that destruction by 450,000,000 cars every 15 years (about half the cars on the planet) by 1000 years (a blink in the future history of humanity). That requires the fabrication and recycling of 30,000,000,000 (30 billion) large lithium batteries, thousands of new power plants, gas pipelines, and coal trains.
It is a shame that leaders in free, democratic Australia, Canada, Europe, and the USA order their people to switch to electric vehicles and abandon fossil fuels.

It is a shame that no matter how we explain nor how many times we explain that CO2 is not a pollutant, nice, thinking people still make closing remarks that CO2 causes catastrophic man-made global warming and therefore fossil fuels must go.
We should go to church on Saturday or Sunday to pray for humanity.
