I’ve retired some years back now. Born and raised in Italy. My career and retirement have been in Australia. Retirement has enabled me to indulge in my family and my long term interests of earth and environmental matters. It gave me the opportunity to devote time to formalise my thoughts and conclusions on earth science matters and publish several articles.
I have several other interests but age has caught up with me. I no longer have the strength and stamina to pursue my wood and metal working and technology/electronics interests to the extent I was once capable. However, I can still pursue less strenuous activities such as writing, building models and painting.
Prior to my retirement I was a sole trader in a computer hardware and services business; a business I began after I ceased being a paid employee mid-1990’s.
As an employee I held management positions in administration, accounting, customer service, logistics, warehousing, production and business analysis. Some of the positions I held had national roles within Australia. Several of the business disciplines noted above were encompassed in the particular national role.
My formal tertiary education qualified me for the Diploma in Business Studies (EDP). I graduated in 1976. Although this course had an emphasis on Information Technology, with core subjects of systems analysis and programming, it also covered the business subjects of management principles, administrative studies, personnel administration, marketing, economics, accounting, and statistics and, as an elective, environmental study.
Prior to my tertiary studies I matriculated in maths and science subjects.
