This Level 1 Food Hygiene and Safety course can help you achieve that goal by giving you simple tips that help in improving your restaurants hygiene & safety. It is an absolute necessity for you have clean premises given that otherwise your restaurant could be shut down by the health service. Through this course, you will be prepped to regulation standards by initially learning about food hygiene and HACCP. You will also discover the physical, chemical and biological hazards faced in the food industry, and their precautionary measures. Next you move onto food safety controls through good health and personal hygiene, food temperature control, prevention of cross contamination and cleaning. Going through this course is going to help you understand the basics of food hygiene and safety, which can be used as a pedal stone for you to start your own culinary adventure.

Entry Requirement: This course is available to all learners, of all academic backgrounds. Learners should be aged 16 or over to undertake the quali cation. Good understanding of English language, numeracy and ICT are required to attend this course.

Assessment: At the end of the course, you will be required to sit an online multiple-choice test. Your test will be assessed automatically and immediately so that you will instantly know whether you have been successful. Before sitting for your nal exam, you will have the opportunity to test your pro ciency with a mock exam.

Certi cation: After you have successfully passed the test, you will be able to obtain an Accredited Certi cate of Achievement. You can however also obtain a Course Completion Certi cate following the course completion without sitting for the test. Certi cates can be obtained either in hardcopy at the cost of £39 or in PDF format at the cost of £24. PDF certi cate’s turnaround time is 24 hours, and for the hardcopy certi cate, it is 3-9 working days.
