Know Why Advertisements Use the Time 10:10 on Clocks When I was a kid when asked about the same to my neighbor kids, they told me “The Inventor of the Clock invented the clock at 10:10. But this statement is wrong. The clocks showing the time of 08:20 in the initial time and the name of the manufacturer was visible with this 08:20 time. It looked like it focused on the name with its two clock hands. But later they realized that it made a negative impression on the customers. A survey found out that it looked like a sad face. So, just to invert it and make a time of 10:10 this may make a happy feeling. Some other reasons that people think about the time 10:10 on the clock are mentioned in this article. 1. Symmetrical look When the clock shows time 10:10, we see a vertical symmetry in the clock but we get the same with 08:20 or 09:45 or some other time. Then why is it 10:10? 2. Abraham Lincoln It has been said that Abraham Lincoln died at that time and so the watches show the time. But Lincoln was shot at 10:15 night and died the next day at 7:22 am. So this is not the correct reason. 3. Visibility When the clock hands are at 10:10, we have the manufactures name and other details clearly when they are placed above and below the center. 4. Hiroshima and Nagasaki Attack It is because the first atomic bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki attack time and in remembrance of all the victims or the clocks which are presented in showcases have the same time of 10:10.

5. First watch Some say that first watch was completed at that time. But why are most companies adopting it? Clocks are been around for hundreds of years. So, this is not the reason.

So, these can’t be the reason for the time 10:10. Also, street clocks are come up with this time. Vintage street clock for sale is available on different websites.
