Brand Guidelines ISSUE 1 – MARCH 2015

The LimbPower look The LimbPower brand is a constantly evolving mixture of type, imagery and colour. There are no hard and fast rules as to what can be done. We hope that some of the examples shown here show how the look has evolved and developed. The logo itself can be used in any number of ways on any number of backgrounds. The backgrounds themselves can be from our palette of three

colours or sampled from within images – or even just white. The images themselves can be used “straight” or manipulated and coloured such as in the examples shown elsewhere in this document. All we request is that one of the four basic logo colourways be used wherever possible – but don’t forget – anything is possible. If in doubt, just ask!

Master version showing exclusion zone

Exclusion zone = lowercase “x” height of strapline

The LimbPower logo is supplied as master eps formats, with jpeg and gif options supplied for PC users. It is not intended that the logo or the other supplied variations be altered in any way. Only the colour splits shown should be used. See below for the three prime examples. The logo can be used on any background, including flat colour, graduations, full colour, duotone or tinted halftone images. An exclusion zone equal to the lowercase “x” height of the strapline should be used. Master version: white sun, all other colours remain the same

Master version: white swash, all other colours remain the same

The secondary device In certain instances, the sun element may be used on its own as a secondary device. The sun graphic may be used as a tint of one of the three logo colours. Ideally the colour to use is Pantone 123 yellow. However where solid panels of the other colours are used, the sun device may be used as tints of the same colour. Tint values to use are 10%, 25%, 50% 75% and 100%. The graphic may be used in full or cropped as required.

LimbPower – Use of imagery The keynote signature LimbPower image is one where an OK image is turned into a brighter, more dynamic, Before more colourful image. Enhance or change hue, add blur or textures, distort angles and proportions, posterise and change colour balance. Emphasis can be added to the subject matter by rendering backgrounds in contrasting colours and tones to the main image subject. LimbPower publications make extensive use of cut out images – this another way to focus upon a subject and to exclude extraneous background clutter.

Sponsorship & logos

T 07502 276858 E i www.limbpower.com

LimbPower events are often sponsored by outside organisations and commercial companies. Events may have five or six sponsors. Where this is the case, the sponsors logos are shown white out of a black strip along the bottom edge of the respective banner, poster or leaflet. Each sponsor logo is to be shown at a similar size to the others and divided from its neighbour by a vertical white rule. On an A4 page, the strip depth is 30mm and would resize in pro to other A sizes – A5 = 22mm, A3 = 43mm, A2 = 60mm.
