TRANSPORTATION

A new school bus was purchased to transport students to and from school.

X

In order for our students to continue their growth and success, we must provide them with the tools to build their futures. I would like to thank last year’s donors for their generosity. Without this philanthropy, it is impossible for us to offer the quality of education that we do. Tuition at John Carroll is $6,600 per year. However, it actually costs JCHS $8,650 to provide our students with the superior standard of education to which they are accustomed. John Carroll is funded primarily through tuition and the generosity of benefactors like yourselves.

2007-2008 X

It is a very exciting time for the John Carroll family! Our baseball team just competed in the state championship, our Envirothon Team won the state title for an unprecedented third year in a row, and our graduating class has a college attendance rate of more than 99%. Our students are challenging themselves in every area of their education—academics, athletics, and community service—and are reaping the benefits of their own hard work. This year alone, our graduating seniors were awarded more than $1,000,000 in scholarships.

Gifts of cash, check, and by credit card are always welcome. This option offers John Carroll immediate financial support and allows a tax deduction to the extent permitted by current tax laws.

Gifts of Securities

Contributions of mutual funds, publicly traded stocks, and bonds may enable donors to contribute a larger gift at a lesser cost. Transferring gifts of securities to John Carroll is easy and if timed and planned carefully, can provide significant tax benefits. You will avoid paying the capital gains tax on the appreciation and will qualify for an income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of your securities on the date you made the gift.

Bequests A bequest can be in the form of a specific gift of cash or property. Bequests can be made as sums or percentages. They may be structured to provide support to specific JCHS programs, or can be given without restriction to best meet future needs. Every dollar that is given to JCHS through a bequest or other testamentary gift is fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes.

Gifts in Kind

Contributions of products, merchandise, equipment, or services can provide support for the school. If you or your company would be able to provide a service, please contact the school.
