Architecture has the ability to change the world. It can shift the economy, change the way people live, and greatly change the environment. As a designer, I always strive to carry the legacy of the hand and combine it with the technology of today. Designing by hand and refining with technology is my design process. As a contributor to the design world, I hope to bring meaningfully designed buildings that tell stories inspired by the users, the community, and the environment.

the intersection at eager
Spring 2016| Studio II | University of Maryland Duration: 5 weeks Located north of the Washington Monument in Mt. Vernon, the intersection of Eager st. and N. Charles st. serves as the point where varying cultures meet. On the west of N Charles st. is the street called Morton, where adaptive re used buildings and the hipster vibe are prominent. The building acts as a junction between the formal street of N. Charles st. and the informal street of Morton St. The idea of the building is to activate the ground level and increase foot traffic on both streets. This ensures a good balance in the social and economic aspect of the design. The building also features sustainable design practices such as a green roof system that also acts as an amenity for the apartment dwellers. The unit mix is designed to serve a wide range of demographics: from one student to a family. The context was used as the tool for designing the shape and the facade of the building. The building introduces modern aesthetics while respecting the historic language of adjacent buildings.
