DESIGN|BUILD TULANE CITY CENTER

Louisiana Outdoor Outreach Program (LOOP) Pavililion | City Park AIA NEW ORLEANS MERIT AWARD | DIVINE DETAIL CATEGORY

The Mission of LOOP is to provide outdoor education to elementary, middle and high school students. We were asked to create a shaded outdoor classroom space for thier ropes course site. Our design integrated seating into the landscape with an earth berm and a minimal steel structure which supports a canopy of undulating yield sign blanks creating an organic form.

The Marigny Community Center is an architectural proposal which responds to the needs and context of the nieghborhood. A layering of programatic demands including parking, housing, commerical and public spaces is proposed for this vacant city block with a sustainable response. By taking advantage of the roofscape, more green space is given to the community than was previously available.

ACADEMIC DESIGN STUDIO FALL 2011 French Quarter Public Library

Unique site conditions led to the design of this library, allowing a public passageway connecting the facades on Chartres St. and Toulouse St. A public plaza inspired by the courtyards of the French Quarter invites visitors to the entry, which extends directly to an occcupable roof garden.
