SENIOR THESIS • MILQUETOAST SUNDAY Milquetoast Sunday was inspired first and foremost by the film ‘Her’, the atmosphere and emotion the setting engenders. I took that emotion, dissected it, and reimagined it in my own way. The emotion and imagery evoked was that of youth in Los Angeles. I imagined being young and careless; being dumb, falling in love, and having the type of experiences you’d reminisce about. The mood Milquetoast Sunday should instill in the viewer is comparable to waking up on a sunny day in complete equanimity that the daily struggles of life have yet to catch you. The bliss of taking in the calm of the weekend, and remembering to live foolishly, as though you were the age of mental immortality. (2016)
