RECOMMENDATION
To Whom it May Concern: I am writing on behalf of John DeSmidt, who was a development intern with Eclectic Pictures from August to October 2015, to recommend him for the coveted open position at your company. During his semester with us, John quickly adapted to the office environment and the workflow of the Executives and was eager to take on any project or task that was assigned. Performing a wide range of duties from generating cast lists to supplying notes on scripts/ potential projects to creating presentation decks, John’s creative input was greatly valued and he excelled in transitioning into the fast-paced environment. Additionally, he provided excellent support in administrative tasks ranging from rolling calls, greeting and taking care of guests, maintaining the organization of the production office and running general office errands. Working with John was a delight and he developed long-term relationships with the entire staff and fellow interns, showing an aptitude for working well in team settings as well as proficiently working independently, completing assignments in a timely and professional manner. Bringing over a specialized set of skills from his previous experiences, John was able to use that to his advantage and apply his talents in a new format. With a keen eye to detail and having a fresh and unique perspective, John demonstrated a distinct knack for film development in which he will only further flourish. A desirable and exceptional addition to your team, I highly recommend John as he has proved to be a wonderful asset to our team and I have no doubt he will be a great addition to yours. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at: jessica@eclecticpictures.com or via phone at: (310) 948-5074. Thank you, Jessica Yang

June 1, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: My name is Linda Ciarimboli. I am the Costume Engineer at the Conan show on the Warner Brothers lot. John Desmidt worked for our wardrobe department as a co-op student from the University of Cincinnati. We enjoyed having John on our team, and were thrilled to have him back for a second semester. In the beginning John worked completely with the team manufacturing the crazy costumes for the show. Often we have little or no time to generate them so it is important that we can function smoothly, genially and efficiently in a very cramped space. John was quick to grasp new technologies and move quickly to support the team. During his semester with us, John worked closely with the design team, shopping supplies and working on the remote shoots. John is incredibly creative. He has a way of bringing humor to the room. We miss having him around the Conan wardrobe department. I highly recommend him. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Sincerely, Linda Ciarimboli Linda.ciarimboli@conacotv.com Specialty Costume Engineer Local 705
