When you have money to invest, you have many options. Stocks are a traditional option, and you can buy them individually or through mutual funds. Bonds are a similar choice, even if they are a bit different. Commodities, ranging from farm crops to precious metals, are also options on the table. However, if the property is big enough, it doesn’t take much work to set up two or three apartments in a larger home for multiple income streams. Regarding the local ratio, the number of renters available to properties in San Francisco isn’t necessarily ideal. On the other hand, there are far more renters available with enough income to rent units at current prices in the central valley.
