Grounding Anchors proposes a building with a central agora and working spaces for the thriving tech startup sector in St. Louis. The agora creates a large, hybridized, interactive space for the intermingling of startup teams. It houses large events that range from product promotion, neighborhood gatherings, and local youth mentorship. Youth mentorship serves a social function that connects startup transplants to the local youth, exposing them of new technolgies that inspire their future endeavors.

 Set in a small mining town in Greece, this project proposes research “pods” that helps clean up waste produced from gold mining. Community protests of unethical mining ignited thoughts of symbiotic relationships and how it translates architecturally and programmatically.







