Is there a minimum order? Our custom t-shirt minimum is 50 shirts of the same design. You may combine any of the styles in the same design to make up the 50 shirts. For example, an order for 50 Herpes Awareness Tally T-shirts could be for 25 unisex shirts, 10 baby rib women’s, and 15 fine jersey women’s. We are happy to quote several quantities to help you decide.
What about payment? All custom orders require prepayment before work can begin. There are several options:
How much do custom shirts cost? Pricing depends on how many shirts you order, the sizes you want, and the number of colors in your custom reverse design. Email us with the details of your order and we will prepare an estimate especially for you. Please allow 48 hours for an estimate.
We can send you an electronic invoice for the t-shirts that you can pay with a check or money order. With checks, work will begin once your check has cleared. Again, we will bill you for shipping upon completion of your order.
Can organizations outside of the United States order custom t-shirts? Sorry, we are only able to fulfill orders from customers in the United States at this time. Do you charge for the custom design? There is no design charge for text-only designs. A small charge may apply to more complex designs.
Why do you bill later for shipping? It’s been our experience that most customers want their shirts as quickly as possible. Depending on the size of your order, charges can vary wildly between regular ground and express mail shipping. We’d rather only charge you for the type of shipping your order actually requires. If you are not in a rush, we can include ground shipping in the invoice for your t-shirts. Just let us know.
What does the custom design look like? We will design your back to match the front of our shirts. See sample on our website. Colors used will be the same colors as the front of the shirt. We are unable to use additional colors on the back.
How long does it take? Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for custom orders. Many times, we will be able to turnaround your order much quicker than that. If you need your t-shirts faster, please advise us of the deadline up front.
Your estimate will include prices for multiple back color options. For example, if the front of the shirt is two colors, we will give you a price for a 1-color back and a 2-color back.
Are you planning to add shirts about other STDs? You bet! When we are not designing or fulfilling your orders, our minds are hard at work on ways to creatively raise awareness about other sexually transmitted diseases.
Will I be able to see the design before you print it? Absolutely! We will email you a PDF proof showing several options for the back of the shirt. We will not send in your order until you have approved the artwork. What kind of shirts do you use for the custom orders? We print on the same American Apparel styles used in our individual orders: fine jersey unisex #2001, fine jersey women’s #2102, and baby rib women’s #4305. All are 100% cotton. How do I know what sizes to order? American Apparel shirts (especially the women’s styles) run much trimmer than most t-shirts. When in doubt, size up! Please consult their online sizing chart for the specific sizes you are interested in before making a decision www.americanapparelstore.com/sizing.html Decide carefully because once your order has been placed, there can be no changes to the total quantity or breakdown of sizes.

We can send you an electronic invoice for the t-shirt printing (and custom design fee, if applicable) payable online with a credit card. We will bill you for shipping upon completion of your order
Institutional purchase orders may be acceptable (please inquire).
What else should I know? Once you place your order, there can be absolutely no changes to the design, quantity of shirts ordered, or breakdown of sizes. There are no returns or refunds on custom orders, except in the rare case of defective merchandise. We take pride in our shirts and are truly thrilled that people are wearing them to spread awareness. Each order is custom designed and screenprinted just for you, with the utmost care.
