The project aims to enhance the lives of the various cultured residents through a communal designed to create unique and meaningful interactions. The spacial arrangements reject Leithâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s crude perception of community which moved away from self interest and instead towards communal objectives such as the cooking school which families co-run. Therefore the economy of the building is central to the community which it creates. The model is designed to be flexible and work throughout numerous businesses but to be iconic due to its appearance which places the communal staircase at the front of the building. The facade of the building is used as a connection between the residents and the street, drawing people to interact with it in a positive way. This is achieved through the principles of picturesque theory bringing nature through into the building. The project aims also to contribute to the continual growth of Leithâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s economy through the commercial and touristic value it brings.
