Official Notice Board The official Noticeboard is a virtual notice board located at http://noticeboard.americascup.com/. Competitor notices, amendments to Sailing Instructions, haul out schedule, guest requirements, protest notifications and hearing locations, details (including locations) of scheduled events and meetings shall be posted on this noticeboard. RO Comms The following forms of communication may be used as Race Officer Communications (RO Comms): (a) Information displayed on the Stow displays on each AC45; (b) Light signals emitting from ACRM supplied equipment; (c) Information transmitted over channel 8 of the ACRM supplied Radio; and (d) Umpire Flags. Umpires may fly the following flags with the flag staff pointing at the yacht: (i) A green flag to indicate no penalty under rule 44.1(a); (ii) A yellow flag to indicate a penalty under Rule 44.1(b); and (iii) A black flag to indicate a penalty under Rule 44.1(c). Any communication under SI 3.1 constitutes communication to a yacht. RRSAC Rule 60.1(a) protests (Y Flag protests) shall be signaled by pressing the Yellow button on the Stow Display and flying a Code Flag Y whose hoist is no less than 0.3 meters. RRSAC Rule 60.1(b) protests (Red Flag protest) shall be signaled by pressing the Red Button on the Stow Display. Chase Boats Each yacht shall have at least one chase boat available while racing. Chase boats shall comply with instructions given by the Course Marshal. Chase boats shall not exceed fourteen meters in length and three meters in height (not including whip antennae), unless otherwise approved by the Regatta Director. One chase boat may follow its yacht within course limits until instructed to vacate. Chase boats shall be clearly identifiable with the competitor they support. Crew Weigh In Crews shall weigh in between 0700 and 0900 on Saturday August 6, Wednesday August 10 and Saturday August 13 unless otherwise agreed by the Regatta Director.

Haul Out Restrictions Once launched on or after August 6 until the conclusion of racing on August 14, yachts shall not be hauled out except in compliance with a Haul Out Schedule issued by the Regatta Director, or as otherwise permitted by the Regatta Director. Course Area Racing may take place within Course Area A or B shown below.

The Course
8.1
The Course is: Start, M1 to port, Leeward Gate (M3/M4), Windward Gate (M1/M2), Leeward Gate (M3/M4), Finish. Marks M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, and M6 are white 8.2-meter power catamarans flying an orange flag showing its respective name. The Signal Boat is the white 21 meter power Catamaran named “Regardless” The Entry Line for match racing shall be between a staff displaying an orange flag on the Signal Boat and a staff displaying an orange flag on M6. The Start Line shall be between a staff displaying an orange flag on the Signal Boat and a staff displaying an orange flag on M5. The Finish Line shall be between a staff displaying an orange flag on M1 and a staff displaying an orange flag on M2. Only the Marks that form a Windward Gate or Finish Line are “Windward Marks”.

Time Trial Instructions The course, location and mark description for the Time Trial will be announced via RO Comms. A yacht shall start by passing to windward of the Start boat within her start window. A yacht’s start window shall be the first 30 seconds of the minute allocated to her by the Race Committee. A yacht shall finish by passing to windward of the Finish boat. A yacht will be ranked based on her highest average speed for a run, measured by the Race Committee.
